I've made this thread every few months for the last couple of years, first on 4/pol/ and now on 8/pol/. People always seem interested. The last thread was deleted after a lot of discussion - same as on 4chan. If that happens again I'll stop.

Do you have an advanced degree? If not, good luck fucko. Funny thing is post-modernists in my field are always criticising how elitist people were prior to the 1960s but you still need an advanced degree to get a job.
If you want to know the future of AfD just look to the past. Look at what happened to "alternative" parties in Germany in the 1950s.
Levi White
Probably not high enough on the ladder for that.
I'd prefer to kill myself slowly with alcohol.
Andrew Barnes
How does one get such a job? What are your plans after post-doc?
Hudson Reyes
I had a connection through my parents. Good luck if you don't. This field is full of faggots who advocate equality but who get their position (like me) due to connections.
As for my plans? Ride the academic teet as long as I can. Currently getting funding both from my work and my school, so gonna ride that.

Do you purposefully give them shitty analysis and bad advice for shits and giggles?

If Donald Trump wins what do you think will happen to the USA in terms of civil unrest and how will this affect Europe? What do you think will happen if the global economy crashes before the General election? What happens if it crashes after the general election with either Trump or Hillary in office lets say 6 months or so after they take office?
If there is a global economic collapse, how bad do you think it will be?
Camden Brooks
No other way? The AfD is pretty weak and kosher, but what do you think about the grassroots present there? I mean I just found out that they are supportive of displaced post war Germans too. Definitely something going on.

Hello, OP. Person with high-level connections at RAND Corp. here.
How are you advising your clients regarding the collapse of the petrodollar and the rise of petrocurrency mercantilism?

Obama visited Hannover which is basically salafist city and Bilderberger will meet in Dresden which is PEGIDAs Headquarter. There must be some deeper meaning behind this.
Matthew Murphy

Oliver Williams
I give them what they want to hear. There are often threads on Holla Forums full of people wondering what to do in classes full of libtards. The answer is simple: give them what they want. It is easy to manipulate them.
I refuse to believe Trump will win. I'm a pessimist. I tend to think the fact that shitskins/women make up the majority of the electorate will overcome anything else. Now that would be interesting. It'd have to be predicated on a non-US event though which makes me doubtful. Basically a wholesale Chinese collapse is the only real possibility. Honestly it wouldn't be dissimilar. Both worth be willing to use the FED and the treasury to ensure US financial stability. The difference between the two candidates, or at least the significant differences, isn't financial.
Hah, couldn't be worse than the last one - could it? Well, maybe it could. Who knows?
Liam Clark

Why are you so ashamed of being a lobbyist that you try to make people believe that think tanks are not lobby groups?

A few years ago travelling through Germany I noticed giant crosses upon a hill. Later I looked it up and realised they'd been build to remember refugees who fled Eastern Europe after WW2. Germans have never been as self-hating as their politicians pretend.
I'm not. If I had to be a salesperson I wouldn't have a job.

Hahaha, you are a bad analyst.

What makes you assume I believe there is a difference? You are absolutely right.
It's funny how over the past six months people I've met have just randomly shit on Trump. They really are scared. The day Cruz dropped out my office was like a funeral parlour. As for what's going on…who knows? I still don't think he can win the general but I've been wrong about everything else.

Colton Nguyen
you again last time you said Trump would never win, and that the economy was fine
do you really believe in your own bullshit? is what you tell us indicative of the analyses you sell to your custommers? do they sometimes realise how wrong you are?
Chase Stewart
I think that the global collapse will lead to something larger and more chaotic than during the great depression, as we did not have the demographic issues or the complete lack of faith in our government, the media, or our institutions. The rise of Trump leads me to believe that something major is on the way, a civil war of some kind or some massive atrocity, just like how the rise of the tea party gave way to the eventual rise of trump. Do you think people have finally had enough of the left's shit and do you think that an economic collapse will be the straw that breaks the camel's back?
Camden Thomas
You seem confused. I'm writing to satisfy the prejudices of my audience, not to speak the "truth". My analysis has NOTHING to do with my personal beliefs.
Samuel Harris
In the West the Left and the Right aren't terribly different. I'm here because I've posted on chans for nearly 10 years.
And do you think if I wrote an analysis praising Trump that I'd have a job much longer? That's beside the point.
On a personal level you are right, though. Trump has succeeded far beyond my wildest expectations. I still refuse to believe he can win the general but he's done enough for me to put my doubts aside and just let him do what he does.
Camden Williams
That may be, but consider the alternative. Trump is the last gasp of America's past (what the Left calls evil, racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic etc).
Perhaps the majority of Americans agree with Clinton, or, rather, will bargain with the devil so their own demographic is advantaged. Your average coon/spic hates gays and transgenders but as long as Clinton imports more spics and keeps coons out of prison they'll vote for her.

Was until recently focused on the Middle East. Been writing about the US election recently though because I'm an American working for a foreign firm.
It's important to note that the US is still fighting ISIS in Iraq. A SEAL just died recently in Mosul (I believe, may have been north of that). What the US has done in Syria is basically admit cede it to Russia. Or, rather, it's ceded the potential outcome to Russia.

Will Balkan countries decide that the economic benefit of the EU is worth the cost of mass migration?
I really don't have a good answer, other than that the impetus that led many of these countries to apply for EU membership is increasingly challenged by the reality of EU membership.
You are right on some counts, I'll correct you on others. I'm where I am because I recognised that getting into UK universities was easier than getting into US universities. I've never worked a real day in my life and don't intend to…that's why I went into academia.

Do you have any indications that something will change there soon? (On the Balkans) What is the probability of another conflict starting, or of some country changing it's geopolitical allegiance?
Dylan Young
people like you are what made me stay the fuck away from "academia", I remember when a Phd student lost his mind and started getting hysterical when I was using heidegger in my paper, he literally got upset because I was using "nazi philosophy", (aka heidegger was too hard for him to read and everyone should just use focault and only talk about post-structuralism like the professor expected) and he then openly referred to me as a nazi for the rest of the year

Refugees and Trump. I've actually managed to shift entirely to US elections because of Trump. He is the hot topic.

A question more related to my country Italy. Why do you think Mr.Renzi is seen so favorably by the international establishment?
In here he's not very popular, but he's holding out well because: - He's very communicative, and a very skilled and good liar - His opposition is very fractured in 4 different factions (leftist, nationalists, cooki-cutter conservatives, 5stars) - Most importantly, he is so very willing to squander resources to make election season gifts, and to borrow from tomorrow to reap minor benefits today
Is he liked because he is considered a continuation of the national surrender government of Monti? Or is he liked because he's a fool easy to manipulate/bully? Or is he liked because he's a reliabile ideological ally?
Lincoln Price

Think of him the same way you would Trudeau in Canada. He is self-obsessed, and wants to be seen as a "progressive" guy. So he'll kill his own country even as Switzerland builds walls to Italy (my memory of crossing the two countries doesn't involve walls, nor does Hemingway's).

Well that's the $32,000 question isn't it? Nobody quite knows who is voting for Trump or why. As for me, it's felt good. I'm naturally cynical, so to see Trump do so well has been a real treat. I mean that. People got it wrong because they assumed the evil hick white Republican would vote for who the mainstream (Leftist) media told them to. They didn't.
In particular one guy who I work with, who is a UKIP supporter, hated Trump. I gather just beacuse it was what you were supposed to do. But over the months I think he has come around, even if he won't admit it. Yesterday he just said it's the will of the voters, and there's nothing that can be done. I guess that just about sums it up.
Joshua Ward
Not officially but I'm tired of middle aged people using the word "meme" in my workplace.
Why would I share advice with them, though?
Please look at past votes. As an American I don't like telling the UK what to do (like Obama) but it's worth noting that any other anti-UK vote in Europe has meant nothing. Whether in France or Ireland.

He needs to win Ohio and Florida, and in order to do so the shitskins that Republicans imported - in addition to the women influenced by the feminism that Republicans have abetted - have to vote Trump. Will they? I don't know.

They are only interested in what they consider to be the "Russian" parts of Ukraine. There is no hope of Russia taking the entirety of Ukraine because Ukraine, unlike the West, understood the true nature of the USSR. Hell man I was wrong about Trump so I hope to god I'm wrong about the brexit. The one good thing is that Obama came over and basically gave brexit supporters a huge bone. The issue is that even if the UK votes for it, that's no guarantee that it will happen. Again, in other EU countries these types of votes have been ignored.
The average Trump voter would never admit that. They see him saying "we will make America great again" and they think of America as it was (90% white). But they don't connect that message with race.

All of the other candidates exhibited the same kind of behavior as the pundits. They're all too stupid or too rigid to understand what's going on, except maybe Christie.

I think one of the reasons for Trump's initial success was the fact that the establishment and MSM completely misinterpreted and underestimated him. as soon as he entered the race he was labeled as a joke candidate, no doubt due to his reality show celebrity status and brash demeanor. what they forgot to account for is that he's also a billionaire real estate tycoon from NYC who has been building his business empire for over four decades. they also seem to have forgotten that Trump used to be taken seriously.
they also kept failing to recognize the danger as it unfolded over time. they ignored Trump's debate skills and his ability to completely demolish his opponents on the stage, the moderators in front of the stage and the lobbyists planted in the audience. the media and the establishment were so conceited they got completely suckered into Trump's game. he basically tricked the media into giving him $2 billion worth of free media coverage, while his opponents were scrambling for funds they would waste on tens of thousands of ineffectual attack ads against him. Trump managed to take control of the narrative, have everyone talk about him, everyone react to him, and become the dominant force. he branded his competition and controlled the flow of information. he shamelessly deflected personal attacks and turned them into personal victories.
and not only did he shit talk his competition endlessly, he managed to back it up by actually winning states. this was the point of no return; instead of starting to take him seriously, the media and the establishment doubled down on their denialism. and when Trump inevitably kept on winning and surging every time they declared "the beginning of the end" for him, they ignored the pattern. both the media pundits and the other candidates turned a blind eye to Trump making them look like complete fucking tools and incompetent idiots.
people started flocking to Trump because people will pick the strong horse and no amount of fearmongering by loser, out-of-touch, discredited talking heads will change that. there's nothing mystical about this, it's just Trump being the smartest motherfucker around, building the best brand and pulling a hostile takeover on the GOP and the MSM, exploiting their alienation from the voters.
tl;dr Trump's been running a 10/10 game plan all along, relying on the establishment's stupidity and tunnel vision at every turn
