15k worth of image board software, known as Next, is available for free and to anybody on github. There's an open source instance in use on 16chan and the dev updates the repo almost daily. The only reasons we don't have it here, now, is because Jim would lose face and codemonkey thinks he can sort vivchan.

The solution to Holla Forums's moderation issues is having something like various 4chan archives have built in, threads and posts don't get completely deleted they just get kept in an archive that allows people to ghost post to.
