Reece, in two weeks time, it will be summer break, and I will be spending most of my time sitting on my ass relaxing. I will have time to spend chilling with you, sending you all of the lewds, and watching all of the choicest animu, while coding what I want, when I want, for three months straight.

But until then, I must go through a necessary hell. University life isn't quite like the life of a normal person working for a living. You have classes, assignments, work to pay the bills, and if you live off campus like me, a good portion of your day also gets eaten up by transportation. With walking and public transportation combined, it takes 45 minutes to get from my front door to the classroom door. I do this 4 times per day. Once to class, once to come back home for lunch, once to go to work, and finally, once to come back home for dinner, fapping, and sleep.

Beyond this hell, you would think weekends would be a salvation, because I have neither classes nor work. On the contrary, they are used almost always for homework, because they are one of the few times I have a large, contiguous block of time. It's hard to just squeeze an assignment into some one or two hour time period to just work a little on a problem at a time. No, my homework problems are not that simple, and I'd just end up wasting time re-familiarizing myself with the problem each time. Instead, I take an entire day to myself and spend a good 4-8 hours with maybe 30-60 minute breaks for food and general decompression in the middle. And during this time, I'm doing very little multi-tasking. My assignments pretty much require that I hyperfocus on one thing until that thing is solved.

On, and add on a few hours every week I do for research. That's been my world for the past several months, and is my world currently for the next two. Then, after 3 months of relaxation, it's 9 more months of hell, which may become even harder because I cannot earn my master's degree unless I get a paper accepted into a scientific journal. And that shit's hard as hell.

Nonetheless, having seen poverty first hand only causes me to push myself to succeed, so that when I have kids, they won't experience the same issues.

Just remember this much, Skitty, unless you're descended from royalty, somewhere down your family line, someone had to lift themselves up by their bootstraps so you could enjoy a nice middle class experience.
