Why are boons so much better than normal spells? Does that change at higher tiers of magic? I'm still having fun but it just seems weird.

Also they typically spawn in that are just outside Grand Sorin near the bandits which is fucking annoying because on top of dealing with the griffin you have to deal with fucking asshole bandit archers who have a massive hard on for the stupid knock back attack.

>>517484309It's good if you like D&D type monsters, love battles where the key is exploiting weaknesses, an interesting bunch of magic spells, loot and if you're looking for something not too heavy on story.The biggest weaknesses Dragon's Dogma has are the overworld, which is a fairly boring and empty map, the quests which has some that are really, really good but most are terribly bland and the start of the game which is kind of a slog until you reach the city.I consider it a 7/10 and it is still my favorite game of all time because I've yet to see someone translating the feel of a tabletop adventure to a game with real time 3rd person action combat as this game does.

However, the game doesnt really motivate the player fairly well as the world map has a lot of areas that aren't really utilized during the game with quests being few and with little variety. Once you get through bbi it kinda spoils you cause it is where the most unique challenges are despite it's small size, gran soren feels empty and a breeze to travel through by comparison

How is the Switch port? I already have it on PC but it’s on sale for Switch right now and portable DD sounds comfy.

The Switch runs stable 30fps, Did BBI and never noticed any dips when MA or MK.Another thing is that there are way fewer pawns to hire, and that will hire your pawn though

i spent like 10 hours trying to grind out hull hellfire set for me and my pawn and i got close but stopped, but i didn't end up finishing the game because i didn't wanna go into ng+ without the gear cause i would have to progress through the main quest again or whatever to get to a good point to have access to stuff
