Luke Cage is the most boring, least inspired, most uninteresting character ever created, that's why cretins like Bendis love him.

Cage was created during an era where Marvel was trying desperately to appeal to black people, and failing miserably. Blade and Brother Voodoo also showed up around this time, all three toiled in obscurity until Blade got a movie.

Here's a fun game: Ask a lefty why Luke Cage can't be white. When they say "His background is a distinctly black experience" or some tripe like that, point out that they just stated only black people can be criminals.

Originally what made Cage stand out (and barely at that) was that he wasn't really a hero, he was just a criminal who decided to use his powers to get paid, so he created Heroes for Hire. The lefties have tried for over a decade to distance him from this, erase the fact that he was the first in Marvel to come up with the idea of only fighting crime for a paycheck, and the fact that he's worked for Doctor Doom at times. The MAX line ghettoed him up, having him fuck white chicks and sporting gold teeth that spelled out his name, hanging out in strip clubs all day, wearing sunglasses indoors and a beanie. Bendis disregarded all of that and turned him into a moral "I cares about the childrinsss" character.

Thing is, in any iteration Cage is boring as fuck. Part of what lefties like about him is that the boring fuck doesn't even have a costume. The closest he's ever come to having a costume is wearing a tiara, silver bracelets, a chain as a belt, and a yellow blouse. Writers like Bendis don't like writing about heroes actually being superheroes, they like writing about them talking over coffee.

The two most standard super powers are flight and superstrength. When someone wants to create a generic superhero, they give them flight and super strength. There are thousands of characters with that set of powers. That's even boring ass Jessica Jones set of powers. Cage? Cage is in a less interesting category, he can't fly.

Now if you've got a really strong character, generally there's some other gimmick to their story that at least makes them look visually interesting. Maybe they can turn their skin into metal, or they're covered with rocks. Still, we're looking at hundreds of characters whose primary power is super strength. The best example of this I think is one of the volumes of Heroes for Hire where aside from Cage and Iron Fist, much of the rest of the team was Hulk, Hercules and Ant-Man. Cage is weaker than both Hulk and Hercules, so what the fuck's the use of even having him around?

So let's just limit it to "black dudes from Marvel who's main power is super strength" That leaves Rage, Black Goliath, Blade, Gentle, Blue Marvel, Maxam off the top of my head.

Every single one of those characters has a most interesting design, backstory and gimmick than Cage. Rage is a little kid who got doused with chemicals so he's in an adult body, and he likes luchador wrestlers, Maxam's a super-nigga from both the future and space who worked with Adam Warlock, Gentle is a mutant who has vibranium tattoos covering his body and has to medidate so his own muscles don't kill him, Blue Marvel's a Superman knock-off, Black Goliath uses Pym particles to become giant, Blade's half vampire.

And every damned one of them has an actual god damned costume.

Diversity niggers are boring because the only reason they exist is not that the author wanted an interesting character with interesting powers and background (otherwise they'd have made a white, male character or a fetish fuel female one), but that they want to masturbate to their own virtue signaling. The only purpose of these characters is self-fellatio.

It's why the new Power Girl sow is super smart, super rich and has all the powers of Power Girl. It's why the Iron Man replacement negress is a MIT graduate at the tender age of 15 that is both smarter and better than Tony Stark, it's why Black Panther is a Gary Stu.

There is nothing to them, nobody gives a flying fuck about any of them, they exist for the sole purpose of avoiding being called racists, and when they decide to put a focus on them they whitewash them so hard and make them as inoffensive as possible (or complete caricatures). Even Blade has nothing black about him. Would anything change if he had been white or Asian instead of black? What was the point of making him black in the first place when he's just a weeaboo white dude painted black?

Nobody asked for them, nobody wanted them, but everyone keeps silent because they don't want to be called racist. If it wasn't for Marxist filth poisoning every facet of society they wouldn't even exist.
