It's an R-rated dreamworks movie with DUDE WEED man

It's not worth your money

This is what I've seen some random fedoralord saying.

Hidden under the sex jokes (and this being a Seth Rogan movie, there are a lot of those) is a surprisingly intelligent movie. It's a film that skewers organized religion and deals with the issues of telling a community, any community, that their dearly held beliefs are a lie. If you are an Atheist, you owe it to yourself to go see this.

So it's a DUDE WEED comedy but with some "Organized christian religion is bad goy" underlying message?

I can't say I'm surprised anymore

...

The food orgy scene is almost 10 minutes long.

Yeah, I'm sure DUDE WEED MAN really made an intelligent philosophically sound piece not at all filled with fallacies and appeals to emotion. And I'm sure the fact that he's a liberal Hollywood Jew in a majority Christian nation has nothing to do with the subject matter of his movie. Pure coincidence.

OY VEY! YOU STILL WANT TO GO TO CHURCH GOY?!

Explain

atheist jews are degenerate
EXPLAINED

What a fucking shill.

What do you think?

...

It has obvious jokes (like the racial ones) that anyone could think up but in the way it's executed, it's funny apparently. Also it has a sourkraut Hitler attacking the Juice. Also relgious undertones. Why can't Hebrew and Islamic food share the land?

What is this shit

Oh and for reference, Frank is the sausage and Brenda is the hotdog bun.

A superficial movie that aims at the modern wacky teenage audience, complete with WEED JOKES XD, sex, cussing ordgy fuck farts and le popular references.

Does morality even exist anymore? Even on Holla Forums there are concern troll faggots whining about "moralfags". I feel like I'm the only one where I live who is disturbed by all the degeneracy in the popular media that's totally accepted. Whether it's this shit or Deadpool or whatever. And I just get told I'm a "moralfag" or a "prude". The world is falling apart and people produce shit like this and it gets praised? I just don't get it. Hell to me is movies like Deadpool and this shit playing on an endless loop.

So like Family Guy. I noticed that Family Guy's execution was more interesting than the bland punchline.

When will this type of comedy end?

movie of the year

Deadpool actually had some morality. Ironic that these liberal atheists talk about how religion is turning people into sheeps when it's doing the exact thing to them only it's an idealogy that they adopted because they're butthurt against their parents. The fact that PC journos that whined about masculinity and dick jokes and racial stereotypes in comedies are supporting this just because it's anti theist and connects to their daddy issues further proves it.

but DUUUDE, WEED IS LIKE TOTALLY FUNNY MAN XD
*rolls up join*
weed aint a drug but I smokes it evrey day cus DUDE WEED LMAO.

8ch is for anonymous, social media is for idpol

So I was standing in a rather large line at my local Wal-Mart today behind a couple families that I know from when I went to church with my family in year younger. It was the only register open so there wasn’t much of another option to get my 12 pack of Mountain Dew for a party I was heading to. I was wondering why the line was going nowhere when I decided to poke my head up front to see what the holdup was. It was a little old lady who didn’t have enough for her groceries and she was trying to talk the cashier into letting her get away with being short. This struck me as odd until I found out she was a mere $0.21 short of her purchase. Now all these families were just staring and there was even two making fun of her. I walked up and handed my soda to the cashier, handed him a $5 and told her to keep the change. One of the middle aged women (I knew these people, so I also knew that they all make over 6 digits) grabbed her kid and yelled very loudly, “See that man? He’s acting just like Jesus wants us to.” For some reason this set me off, so I turned around. I haven’t shaved in awhile so I’m rocking some nice scruff, a Slayer shirt, and gym shorts, so it must have been a nice sight. Very loudly, I said “Like Jesus? Ma'am I’m an atheist who makes minimum wage and I was the one who stepped up to help her? Your hypocritical Christianity is an inspiration to us all.” As I stormed out, a couple of the cart boys started to whistle and cheer, soon shoppers joined in and even the cashier. I gave a wave and went off with a feeling of accomplishment.

This pasta reminds me when being anti-religious doesn't mean brainwashing people into another cult (far left extremism) and just pointing out the hypocrisy of current Christian fundamentalism.

What's the point of "skewering" a group of people who are most likely never going to see your movie in the first place? You can't really say "I sure showed them!" when you literally never showed them anything. It's like when TV shows have episodes dedicated to making fun of the Amish; what's the point? Amish people don't have TVs in the first place, so all you're doing is preaching to the choir.

Oh maaaaan so groundbreaking. They actually have the balls to question religion? No one's ever done that before.

These people seriously think they're living in the 50's, don't they?

...

I used to be one of those "haha, dumb moralfags" until progressivism hopped along.

They were always wrong though. The bible itself acknowledges that no human being, including Christians, are righteous. That's why key figures like Moses, Adam, Eve, David, and Solomon screwed up. Jesus was the only righteous man out there and everyone listened to him because he practiced what he preached, that's why the lady cited him as a good model.

However, Christians have to follow God's commandments and Jesus' instructions. If they screw up, they seek forgiveness and remain distinguishing right from wrong. What they're not allowed to do is to defend sin by redefining it as ethical (eg. stealing from the poor or killing people, but thinking that you're not stealing or killing people).

...

...

And he won't stop either.
Even if you ignore him completely.
That's the one thing I don't understand about goons.
They stick with their exact same shitposts no matter what, even if it gets zero results.
What kind of madness causes people to do such things?

Unemployment, parents being disgusted by their loser child, bullying at school, small penis, hatred against some group they blame their failed life on, sect-like groupthink in their group of online trolls, and sometimes just plain old autism. Failures IRL often vent their frustration on the internet. Their reasoning is: if I can't be happy, neither should anyone else be.

Autism.

Just when you think the film industry couldn't get any lower they do something like this and prove you wrong.

So are we getting to the point normies distrust movie critics like gamers do with game journalists? I swear. CISbusters will be the death of RT.

Why is paul feig and melissa mccarthy at a klan rally?

I guess this means we won't get a sequel with Kevin Smith as weed and John Waters as a buttplug

the message of the film is that religion is stupid because seth rogan says so, so you should just fuck and be a degenerate whore until you die.
reading through reviews of this movie is really just sad, considering how many people not only thought it was genuinely funny (despite there not really being that much humor, just gratuitous swearing and food porn/snuff) but actually thought it was "deep" and "smart" when the entire 'message' of the movie stops making sense outside of the movie.
who are the humans in this metaphor supposed to be? obviously not god, because the movie is staunchly anti-religion. it's just a stupid fucking stoner idea bankrolled by famous shitheads and shoveled into the mouth of the comatose public.

Correction. Religion is stupid until Seth Rogen defends Islam on Twitter.

No, they think they're living in the 60's, perpetually living and reliving the "sexual revolution". The conservative establishment used to get accused of mentally living in the 50's, and it was true, but now the establishment is left wing and they're all mentally delusional, thinking it's sociologically the perpetual 1960's. But it's all part of the Marxist notion of a "perpetual revolution" for them. Their mythical apotheosis is the "progress" they never reach but keep bleating on about and anyone who stands in their way must be crushed under the gears of the perpetual revolution because, well, they're just in the way of "progress". It's a fundamentally unfeeling inhuman psychopathic ideology and media like DUDE FOOD LMAO is just another gear to grind us on the way to "progress".

...

So how did this movie even end?
was it with the food rotting because they're past their expiration date and die a slow painful death because they can't reproduce and mold to death before getting killed by ants?

They drug and kill the humans then leave, where I'm guessing they are going to rot and be eaten by animals

so in this universe, food never expires. also this is fucking stupid and I do't get whycritics are praising this.

...

Food expires, one of the "villains" is an employee who disposes of expied and rotten food the actual villain is a literal douche that's mad that he never had the chance to be inside someone

...

Or they're leaving things open for a sequel where they meet a human who helps them stop food from getting eaten, and he graphically starves to death in the process

Why am I giving them ideas?

I don't think anyone's triggered, just tired of stoner movies. They haven't really changed or evolved at all in almost 40 years, yet there are dozens made every year.

No no, you don't get it user, you're not supposed to point that out, you're supposed to redirect him to Holla Forums or freech, and then he's supposed to call you a Holla Forumsedditor.

Do you just stay mad at all hours?

It's safe edginess.
Sex haha drugs haha violence haha
I'm not against those things per se but they're too often used as an ersatz for jokes or funny writing, especially in basic bitch comedies like this.
It's also meant to be a stoner flick and potheads will watch anything marketed towards them.

Remember to DEFOO, because fuck you mom and dad!

...

...

Yeah, sure he did.

What?
I was poking fun at how derails typically happen here.
Do you know what jokes are?

It could've been actually smart if they added the dilemma where humans react and are conflicted on what to do with these sentient food. In fact, a lot of plot holes could've been solved if it's revealed these food where just mutated because they had some illegal highly experimental artificial flavoring and hormones. A good jab at the food industry That would've made this movie more interesting and actually on par with Animal Farm like the critics keeps blabbing about. But no these cucks probably thought that Family Guy episode where Brian goes on an atheist rant with strawmans were deep episodes. When really instead of making a weak argument on religion, it would've created something more philosophical in how a lower and higher species would interact and what makes us decide who deserves sentience.

Wait did this actually happen?

All I think of when I hear about this movie is Food Fight.

I'm a Christian and I've been known to enjoy the comedy of George Carlin and shows like Futurama which have a large atheist fan-base. I'm not closed minded. I don't exactly agree with their views but I am entertained by them.

I think it's up to the viewer to decide what metaphors are in a movie. They could be anti-religious or they could be about something else. You could also say movies like Dogma or Happy Feet were anti-religion but you could also say that they weren't anti-religious but anti-organized religion. It's all in how you look at it.

Really surprising OP…

What a surprise.

It doesn't take a prude to recognize that shallow hedonism is shit.

Survival of the fittest, Leonard!

Speaking of which. Is Seth Rogen apologizing for sausage party islamophobia yet?

Fucking Christ, is this the kinda script you need to make movies now?
That just so fucking cringe inducing i'm getting health problems.

Larry Ellison's daughter financed the movie, if that says anything

Apparently the MPAA gave them an R only if the pida bread's nutsack wasn't hairy

From what I've heard, there's a "postmodern live-action" part near the end

The script stated that they slaughter customers in the grocery store, eating the people that eat them.

Jesus fucking Christ.

Is.. is she retarded?

You faggots who think this dumb "comedy" is part of some insidious plot to make "degeneracy" acceptable are giving Seth Rogan too much credit. If any movie was concocted while being way too high, this was it.

I hope this movie bombs so hard that Seth Rogan becomes a non-person.

How would you know?

Some normalfags will maybe get wise to critics' lies now thanks to being almost immediately in the wake of credibility bomb Ghostbusters/Suicide Squad, but the common population is so chock full of retard potheads, try-hard teens thinking it's some big middle finger to mock religion, and general rubberneckers willing to be contrarian and engage in bile fascination, it's almost guaranteed to make it's cost back. Likely a couple times over, so even if it makes dismal total figure, it'll still be a projected success, and you can bet that Hollywood kikes will ride that all the way to the bank for the next decade.

This shit reads like a Robot Chicken sketch. How the hell did they make a multi-million dollar Hollywood movie out of this?

What a coincidence the jew whose every movie is weed, sex, and drugs is anti-christian, no reason why that would happen.

That's giving it too much credit.

It was actually pretty cheap to make, comparatively.

$19 million plus advertising is dirt cheap all things considered. It's definitely going to make a profit, sadly.

Let's just say,
oh gee
Cant embed cause someone posted it
youtube.com/watch?v=2pkLaj9a-rw

Acktually it was really religious, he kept pointing the faults of the bible being added and changed by humans, but respected the piety and love of God. Was lik a anti-atheist

They're basically nostalgiafags living in the past who still think "The Man" is against them and out to oppress them despite that almost all media and major corporations are on their side and shit like veganism is getting unironic support. These dumb lib college shits think they're living in the 60s and that the revolution will not be televised. Seth Rogen also seems to have a ridiculously high opinion of himself thinking he's revolutionary by touching on subjects he thinks no other movie ever has before or thinking that the man is against him and that he's really being revolutionary by going the route of Louise CK.

Basically the "its just a movie dude, no need to get offended, I'm on your side" response.

Robot Chicken sketches can least be funny on occasion. This film thinks its going to be the next Pink Flamingos.

It's anti-religion themes is literally the only thing reviewers are praising.

Basically because it's a political message they enjoy. Doesn't matter how bad the film itself is, like with CISBusters and the whole feminist message. USA Today seems to outright dislike it at first but says all of it is forgivable because the rather weak debates in it between the bread and meat.
