You see it everywhere in journalism, in movies, in cartoons, in comics, in table tops almost everything has taken a tremendous drop in quality since they have entered working age.
They are so full of themselves they aren't open to criticism, or reflection they think everything they do will turn to gold, regardless of effort or content.

What all box office failures have there really been? Only major failure seemed to be Cisbusters and a couple shitty sequels that no one ever asked for. Which is sorta par the course.
Video games are getting to be a bigger and bigger thing so that they are major competition for movies now, but it doesn't mean movies suddenly stop being a thing people go and see.
Video games being more time consuming also isn't necessarily a positive for all that many people. There's plenty people that like the more passive experience of a movie and taking in the story as told by the director and crew.
