I’m married but don’t have any kids. Society has made it nearly impossible to afford kids in my social class. The poor people can shit out as many as they want and the government will foot the bill. Most of them don’t work so they don’t need childcare. My wife and I both work professional careers and if one of us wasn’t working we would struggle to afford our lifestyle. If you are rich you can afford it easily but the whole middle class is being strained with high cost healthcare, the necessity of dual income households, and long work hours.
