I've never really looked into It's Going Down: are they larpers or what?

Much appreciated NewsAnon.
You make my day and keep me up-to-date.

Repealing Dodd Frank is going to help the Socialist cause more than Trump's stupidest tweet.

Smart lefties will make ANCAP socks and encourage this while discussing the virtues of derivatives and subprime loans.

Let's help them destroy themselves, and discourage all Keynesian fettering efforts.

...

What is Xi up to guys? Is he just establishing political control or is he actually planning on rolling back Deng’s reforms? The one positive thing about Xi consolidating his power in this way is that it makes him no longer accountable or dependent on Chinese porkies to hold on to power, meaning that he can pursue an ideological agenda freely. I’m somewhat optimistic here but I don’t know enough about the situation to make a proper assessment.

Uh. Did this mean that they capitulated to the US's demands?

NO. DON'T DO IT. ITS A TRAP

Michigan just banned banning plastic bags
A new law in Michigan will prohibit local governments from banning, regulating or imposing fees on the use of plastic bags and other containers. You read that correctly: It’s not a ban on plastic bags — it’s a ban on banning plastic bags.

Depends on what kind of deal they get. If they manage to get the US to withdraw troops from SK in exchange for denuclearization then I would say that’s a win. I doubt it will happen but it’s possible for the DPRK to come out in a far stronger position even if they give up their nukes.

That'd be fucking wonderful. I wonder if NK thinks that America is over extended and unable to actually fuck with them without their nukes anyways. After all, China did say that they would back whoever was attacked instead of the offensive team. With the steady decline on the US state, it might make more sense for the US to be pummeled in their own game than to hold onto nukes.
I am however not a political strategist, but I do see multiple routes that will end in NK's survival and few that would end in it's doom. I might just be a dumb optimist though.

Rose is for killing rosa.

From all reports, Trump is hell bent on these tariffs. Nothing will change his mind on it since he doesn't want to look weak.

Trump's advisors are actually trying to bring in outside help to convince him to back down.

Richard Spencer and his neo-Nazi movement is suffering. His speech in Michigan had 11 people attending and he’s resorted to appearing on Baked Alaska’s YouTube show.

It depends from set to set, but the problem with Lego's overstock isn't that they overproduced, but rather that they have steadily been increasing the prices/piece ratio of their sets. This, along with the fact that they have dropped the ball on smaller price points, have lead to people waiting for the bigger sets to go down 15-20 bucks, keeping the stock up on the shelves for far longer than it should be.

so this is it, huh
if this is true and they did really offer giving them up completely, then they're done
i'm gonna miss them

It's hard to think what the north would consider as "guaranteed security", outside of the US completely abandoning the region.

from what i read they only want them off Korea and don't care beyond that too much
but even if that ever happened, it'd be a huge mistake to disarm. just playing with that idea is stupid imo.

Halt nuclear tests for the time of the talks doesn't mean that they give up da bombs.
Can you even read?

Can you? NK will halt nuclear tests right now so long as the talks continue. And they are willing to give up their weapons if their security is guaranteed.

Gary Cohn to Resign as Trump Economic Adviser After Trade Dispute

bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-03-06/gary-cohn-to-resign-as-trump-economic-adviser-amid-trade-dispute

Oh man Im ready for the trade wars.

In 2019 we don't want a stagnant economy. We want a full blown crisis. Then we'll see if by then our dialectics on capitalist materialism paid off. We distribute the appropriate un-dialectal polemics to the correct bourgeoisie, and then utilize a wide swath of charecteristics of proletariat to design Jungian mediums. The overton window will swing left, but we must push it hard left at that point. Too many Aristocrats hooked their wagons on Trump. A major backlash will come by 2020, and we can't count on him winning again to push further left yet. He'll probably lose 2020 or get U.S. nuked by 2024. I want to live to see the overton window go hard left. Seizing the narrative by 2020 is essential.

According to the revised language of the law, it doesn't only "rollback" the Dodd-Frank banking law, it basically exempts all the largest banks–those with $250B in assets or above, or any one designated as a "global systematically important bank holding companies,"–from the oversight and stress testing that was designed to make sure they didn't fail in the first place.

The dollar dropped at this news.

The tendency for the rate of profit to fall sure is a fucking bitch. Should be hilarious to watch America eat itself when the crisis hits.

If Crapo's law is anything to go by, it's already starting. There's language in the bill that opens up the same kind of risky trading that contributed to '08 to small community/regional banks (less than $10B in assets iirc).

It also fucks about with section 8, apparently opening up rentiership of these properties to "any eligible institution," and doing away with rent control. Oh, but it's okay, because any increase in the rent is to be put into escrow managed by the leasing company, which is then to be returned to the renter whenever they move out of their housing. Or not, because they're allowed to withhold it for basically any reason or no reason at all.

Hell soon, fellow prole.

I just hope it happens by the time I'm out of the country. We'll either enter a new age of socdemism (not that I support the succs) or totalitarian escape from New York shit

Hey friend! It's not that bad here! There's plenty to do!

To the cop
With a gun
The Big Apple is plenty of fun

Stab a priest
With a fork
And you'll spend your vacation in New York

Rob a bank
Take a truck
You can get here by stealing a buck

This is bliss
It's a lark
Buddy, everyone's coming to New York!

No more Yankees
Strike the word from your ears
Spin the roulette
There's no more opera at the Met

This is hell
This is fate
But now this is your world and it's great

So rejoice
Pop a cork
Buddy, everyone's coming to New York!

The only way this would work is if all the porkies involved in the 2008 crash is dead.

RIP Norks

stfu alarmist cretin. halting nuclear tests is a perfectly valid negotiating measure, it doesn't compromise the DPRK's capabilities at all.

For all we know they're just not planning to do any tests for a little while anyway and want to see what they can get for nothing.

Should Australian/NZ leftists form an actual Worker's Party or attempt Corbyn like entyism to 'bring Labor back to it's roots' or something.

Only 17 Dems sided with the GOP on this and those were senators from Virginia, Colorado, Delaware, Indiana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Alabama, West Virginia, Missouri, Florida, and Michigan.

Considering how many of those are red states, it's safe to say this was a midterm vote.
