Yeah, revolution isn't happening soon, but you won't know if it's possible unless you just try. That's why these old guys have stuck around in a party for so long. Yes. It's not enough to go off of your experiences with local branches, because the whole idea is that these parties want to get way bigger. When they actually get big, the guys running the party will stay in charge, and that's when shit goes very wrong unless you make sure before hand that the party is correct at every level.

PSL is pretty sick honestly but DSA isn't bad. If I joined a party it'd probably be PSL but DSA is the most relevant socialist org in the US with genuine leftist members, even if some of the old succdem leadership is still clinging on for dear life and defending the cop that lied his way to the top.
