Baltics here.
In our country, we have very bad options.
1) Huge SocDem presence. They are essentially neoliberals with "more welfare and more EU pls" stance. Upside is that they are literally the only ones who scold and scorn the far-right forces in my country.
2) Putin-aligned centre-left presence. They are one of our most popular options, with most popular being right-wing neoliberals. These centre-left's made public transportation free in my country's capital, one of their bigger achievements. They are advocates for big government, and essentially just state capitalists.
3) Tiny cells of M-L parties. They are quite useless, when I last checked, they do claim to be marxist, and co-operate with other M-L's in europe, but their most active campaign has been some anti-NATO agitprop from Putinist standpoint. I seriously doubt if they aren't just more edgy version of the number 2)
Wish there could be a Corbyn or even a fucking Bernie to vote for. That would be a blessing. All in all, new revolution will not certainly come from Eastern Europe. Maybe there's a new Rosa Luxembourg in Germany who will take the fire again? Who knows…

What reasons do any of the baltic countries have to be a nation? You never fought for your independence…you just received it for free in 1991. This makes absolutely no sense.

That might historically happen again, but Russia really doesn't seem like a desirable place to be at, because if you analyse them objectively, they are on the verge of collapse. The drug epidemics, poverty, crime, corruption and idpol tensions are all happening. Baltics is right now on a better track being aligned with the west.
I am not stupid to think that baltics region is nothing but "given" from one superpower to another, depending on how it's convenient to geopolitical situation, but let's be realistic - look at countries like Moldova and Belarus that have aligned themselves with Russia right now instead of west, and tell me that they have any future whatsoever.

Nothing. Like, literally nothing. Socialism, as in most ex-Warsaw Pact states became a synonym for authotarianism or just in general "le ebil bibul :DDDD". Although I do sense the far laft gaining more attraction, especially in the traditionally left leaning areas like Szeged, Pécs or some parts of Budapest. Deep down people still feel like "socialism" is some kind of taboo and try not to associate themselves with such organizations publicly (myself included).

Quite a lot of them, yes, and brought a certain atmosphere of authoritative rule with them, but surprisingly, lot of them went to centre-right parties. I think socdems have the least amount of former commies here in eastern europe - even far-right has more former commies than socdems.
