After the purchase, the groups were scrapped. The site was turned gray all over. The periodical "featured" selection was replaced by endless streams of paid clickbait content. Google, scrambling to make a profit, managed to rope in just a whole ton of fucktards somehow. I don't even know how they managed, but I remember a time in '06/'07 when you could post a video and people would comment, usually positively. People would always see it, no matter who you were you would get views. But Google's business model for the site was to have a bunch of retards who would gawk at whatever Google was paid to show them.

It's funny how that worked out. But this has been a pattern for much of the internet. I believe that a 'conspiracy theory' is not unreasonable - I think sites like Facebook are actively trying to make exploring the internet as a whole taboo. And Google may well be assisting wrt to their complete neglect of their search engine - remember when you could search on Google and go through all the pages? I do. Now it caps how many you can go through, and I know there are pages missing and that more profitable sites get priority to more relevant ones.

If we're going to move we should do it sooner rather than later. Being kicked out will cause a disruption since people who heard about the boards reputation wont know where to look where we regrouped on.

I think user is right and the imgboard format is pointless too and could also limit our appeal and growth to younger folks.
