People who have been tortured by the Syrian government, such as members of the PFLP, are now fighting on its behalf because those previous conflicts are secondary to fighting off the current genocide and invasion. I don't necessarily agree with it, since I support DFSNS, but the thing that really annoys me is that people on here oppose DFSNS on the basis of "balkanization" while defending the actual balkanization of Ukraine. Balkanization and imperialism appears to be just fine with tankies so long as it's not the US that's responsible

Syria won't bring america down anymore than it will bring down Russia. This is another small game in a larger game of power between imperialists nations. I critically support DFSNS because it has actually socialist policies and democratic governance.

The DFSNS is not fighting with the Syrian government. The Syrian government still exists in areas within the DFSNS. The same cannot be said of ukraine which is experiencing actual balkanization. There is no "greater evil", there is only the evil of class society and the states that enable it's existence which includes the US and states hostile to it. Just saying "you're wrong" isn't an argument btw.
