No the party would be egalitarian, but the focus is on working class activism and not really concerned with political correctness or idpol. So yes, old style leftist party/ movement.

The main aim is to get back a huge swathe of the British Working Class that Labour lost to UKIP (basically tory extreme) and a whole Daily Mail generation who support the conservatives because they see the left as only pandering to minorities and against their interests.

Is capitalism to you how Marx defined it? The law of value and producing goods for exchange value, to then be exchanged in a market, with all the capital accumulation and exploitation that comes with it?
Or is capitalism just having property in private hands? Or having a boss?

Okay, sorry. Well in my personal opinion the form would probably be State capitalism, nationalisation of every industry possible, banks, transport, manufacture etc. But the movement would have to be built by everyone in it, so that's only my vision of the party. The activism would be mainly traditional trade union demonstrations, organised strikes, formation of unions and co-ops.

I haven't encountered any SEP members personally, but I do go to WSWS because their articles tend to be pretty good. It can get a little annoying though when they regularly end their articles with calls to join their party. They do unapologetically call for proletarian revolution though, which is nice. Other parties though tend to be labeled as "pseudo leftist" (Bernie Sanders, Podemos, Syriza, for example). This pisses some people off for being "purists."

I've heard rumors of the party leader being some kind of crypto porky that funds the party with profits from his printing business or some shit, but I haven't seen anything more than rumors and speculation regarding it, but probably something to keep in mind. There have been posters here that claimed to have experience with the party and describe it as "cult like," but my only experience is with the website, so I don't know. I haven't come across anything that suggests that in their writing though.

They are really critical about idpol and that sort of nonsense and even put a book out critiquing it a few years ago, but I haven't read it. There are several articles where they elaborate on their opposition though.

Your "worker controlled market economy" still leads to workers exploiting themselves. They still have to produce for exchange, they still have to continuously lower their socially required labor time, they still have to accumulate capital, producing products that they themselves have no use for.
