I'm a bisexual guy, but I'm like 80% interested in women and 20% in men. If I was a right winger or very religious or something, I would probably try to ignore or repress those 20% of attraction to other men and just convince myself that I'm straight. Alternatively I might have accepted that I was bisexual but then inevitably had to let go of the belief that it's fun or a sin or something (which opens the door to becoming more left wing).

You can just "be bi" and just coincindetally always be dating/fucking the opposite sex.
