Posadism is an internet ideology. Like most sub-ideologies of the left that pop up on leftbook or leftypol, it doesn't exist in the real world in any form, and hasn't for a very long time.

Embracing and feeling attraction to wikipedia/facebook ideologies is a symptom of detachment from any kind of social base. This is particularly a problem in the anglo sphere, and in the west in general. People on leftypol need to spend less time on the internet, and more time interacting with real people.

I try so much to interact with people, and the only thing I fear is stopping me from becoming a full on Posadist is legit worry for my boyfriend.

Some advise: I've been in the movement for 10 years now. I've seen enough people, from fellow travellers and activists to Marxist prodigies of every trend come and go that I know 90% of people on this board will drop out of the movement entirely within the coming years. People who have been involved in the movement a long time in the first world tend to develop a kind of cynicism because of it. Most nominally communist groups in the US, UK, etc, are in a kind of permanent survival mode. Groups generally receive an influx of interest when the conservatives are in, which slowly wanes off. Groups generally aim just to replace their leaving cadre with new blood, who get used for dues/activist work before being burning out and dropping out, rinse and repeat until the magical inevitable "any day now" revolutionary situation/economic collapse/ww3 that has been promised since the 50's comes. The primary things that lead to dropping out are burn out, and alienation. People come into the movement enthusiastic and eager to contribute, and slowly isolate themselves more and more when they realise American, British, etc, workers don't care. The movement becomes their entire fixation, and they drive themselves into depression in frustration. If you want to stay sane, you absolutely need to find interests outside the movemrnt, common ground with others. Whether you like it or not, you are a biologically normal human being, and humans are social animals at our core. Ideally, you want to develop circles of friends who have no idea about your politics. Most people you socialise with regularly shouldn't know that. That's something I learned hard. Adapt, or go mad.

Person you are replying to. As far as most of those in my social circles know, I'm some kind of liberal/social democrat. You'll find no indication that I am any kind of radical on any social media baring my real name either. A lot of people coming into the movement want to wear communism like an identity. They buy us hank as, Mao caps, hammer and sickle shirts, etc. those people either end up dropping out or seriously regretting it later. If I see some college/high school kid wearing commie swag outside party activities or activism, I immediately assume they are a larper.

Politics is building up a brand, that has nothing to do with beliefs. Picking up a brand that has lots of negatives associated with it to begin with is an autism of a bad kind. Politics is offering solutions, not beliefs to the masses.
