From what I gather, people who have a strong dislike of him tend to be communization/full communism types who want to skip labor vouchers OR, people who are just butthurt over the fact that he was ML/Tankie in the 70s. OR people who are just tired of seeing him memed.
I realize this is a leftcom/ancom board mostly, but let me address these points.
1) Full communism isn't incompatible with cybernetic planning, in fact you still need his work on optimally planning things, just without the labor voucher parts. Whats funny is that Cockshott himself, as did Neurath, actually says that labor time is not enough to plan the economy since it reduces the economy to a scalar in the same way as money. Read calculation in Natura.
For all the criticisms of Cockshott, the point is, literally no one else has made such a decisive or complete refutation of the austrian/lolbert 'Calculation Argument'. This is what attracted me to his arguments to begin with, I almost literally stopped being a marxist and became liberal/centrist because I couldn't for the life of me come up with a convincing answer to the ECP. If not for Cockshott, I would have become an liberal apolitical centrist today.
2)Tankism While many sperg out about him being an ML of sorts, you can't seriously read the totality of TANS and come to the conclusion that he is an unreconstructed Stalinist who simply wants computerized Stalinism. See ch.13 of TANS: pic related. The guy's ideal political system is pretty much modern day Switzerland more or less.
I just think its funny the amounts of butthurt he generates here, even though his system is combining direct democracy and extending Marxism. I'm convinced that a cockshottist society is something that could actually unite Marxists and Anarchist.
Because he's relentlessly shilled by a handfull of niggers like you who can't even defend his basic principles outside repeating "muh vouchers".

We definately need more work on that front, but the fact that he managed to created a functional socialist economic system which addresses all the problems of previous attempts is an achievement in itself.
