OK I get why people are against terfs but as far as I can tell most "swerfs" are just feminists who want to abolish sex work. And to me that's totally reasonable, communists want to abolish work but that doesn't make us "worker exclusionary" even if some workers enjoy their jobs.

SWERF stands for Sex Worker Exclusionary Radical Feminist. They are against sex work in the present society, not just in the society they want to create. They think it is wrong for women RIGHT NOW to accept money for sex.
Yeah I don't consider them to be real socialist either, but that is what they call themselves and there are more of them than there are of us, so I'm not going to worry about it too much.

Obviously if a feminist attacks or insults sex workers for their profession that's wrong, BUT I see nothing wrong with thinking that sex work is inherently exploitative, i.e. that trading sex for money is "wrong". And as far as I can tell most radfems support the Nordic Model, which decriminalizes sex workers and criminalizes the purchase (not selling) of sex.

But you abandon all pretense of decency once you start petitioning the liberal state to ban prostitution and force millions of reasonably well-off workers into a choice between sweatshop labor or poverty. And yes, the "nordic model" is an effective ban on prostitution, in the exact same way that most abortion bans are achieved without criminalizing mothers.

Were socialists in the early 20th century wrong to organize against child labor? Those children were typically a vital source of income for their families; you could say that banning child labor would force their families into poverty. Except, of course, the socialists also organized for better pay and benefits so that the families didn't have to send their children to the mines and factories. All this despite the fact that the adults were still in exploitative conditions. Now, if there are "swerfs" who oppose prostitution without also opposing the economic conditions that force women to become prostitutes, then those are very foolish feminists indeed.

There's a strategic, economic reason to ban child labor while working for better pay for working adults. By the nature of capitalism, one would arguably not be possible without the other. It's not just some silly moral distaste with children doing menial tasks.

There are no valid economic reason to advocate sex work ban, though. It is nothing but moral distaste with sexual acts, and even simultaneously acting to alleviate the conditions of the working poor does not justify it.
