Not sure about Australia but you can't emigrate to Canada unless you're a refugee, skilled in an in demand trade, or a millionaire/ Chinese 1 percenter.

Americans between 18 and 30 years of age can travel and work in Australia for up to 12 months. It's an old post-WWII agreement if I remember right.

As for Canada, it's fairly easy to get a visa as an American, especially if you speak French. They use a point system.

Because "just moving" is pretty fucking hard. Australia is probably the hardest english speaking country to immigrate to, you have to have a job lined up and able to prove you'll be self sufficient. Canada is similar. I work at a retail store, there's no reason they'd want me.
