I used to watch a lot as a young teen but I eventually stopped once I got frequent access to sex. I can't stand "professional" porn. It's insincere. I can barely watch straight porn these days. Most women strive to be the big boobed tan look. I never found that attractive. I might as well fuck a leather couch. I just want the people to be genuine and real in porn.
The big danger of porn that I've found is it's overall dehumanizing. I know I sound like some feminist or crazy conservative, but both are right in this regard. Jacking to it is also just as dehumanizing. I can only get aroused with a partner. I get really turned on by turning on others and making them feel good. I like the idea of making thier day.

Forcing yourself only to consume "real" amateur porn is politicism and ethical consumerism combined: the belief that there could ever be an institutional solution within the logic of capital to invariantly unethical human activity, and that it can be obtained by spending your money on that which is not yet (fully) tainted. I therefore neither consciously engage or abstain: I consume it whenever, like any other commodity, when the desire is in me to do so.
What activity, when you really think of it, isn't ultimately a waste? There is none within this framework and reality but one: revolution. Enjoy yourself as you wish until then while trying to be as little of an asshole as possible: if you despise activists and ethical consumerists for their devotion and not for their misguidedness, you probably are one.

The older I get the more I realise how degrading mainstream porn is to the men and women in it.
Its not inherently bad, but the way it panders to the market is disturbing. The idea that doing something that involves pain, humiliation or even just interracial (as in, someones skin color affects how much you are paid) as a way of making more money is insane.

I've been reading more erotica and fanfiction smut recently, so my porn folder is quite small. Mostly amateur shit and doujins.
I don't know, this whole porn addiction thing sounds overblown to me, it's just something to relax with. If you spend significant amounts of time with it, you probably have deeper problems. I'm not sure if getting off the internet would help you that much, there are still avenues to consume sexual content.
I personally have no problem getting aroused by vanilla stuff after the ridiculous fetishes you find online, after a while it gets boring. Then again I'm bisexual so I'm sure some would claim I was corrupted by jewish propaganda.
