What's with the CEO worship?

How do we deal with the "entrepreneurship" meme? Seems like people actually idolize these fucks and I cant even begin to articulate just how much this show triggers me.

It's too late for that man.

...

I think the prime target needs to be the 'anyone can make it' meme, I'm so sick of seeing 'i was one a sad schlub like you, until I worked hard and became a millionaire with 5 women and 5 Lamborghini's in my graaage, ignore the fact I was born to mentally and physically healthy upper middle class parents'.

It's a positive development as far as I'm concerned, let corporate feudalism come out fully in the open.

This. I love how Trump only invites other porkies to serve in his administration rather than opting for the usual "credentialed" eggheads that populate so many democratic/GOP cabinets. Really helps with class consciousness.

I'd tepidly suggest just getting people to learn more about the realities of business but that's probably a non-starter. It might at least do away with some of the sort of quiet bootstraps ideology. (i.e. the people start with their own savings, instead of getting startup capital from elsewhere by processes most rivalling nepotism.) Also maybe something about how a CEO isn't always a founder and is sometimes basically a glorified manager.

Now I have to go think about the ideological implications of liking certain CEOs despite everything. It's hard not to admire certain personal actions even when you strip away most of the "anyone can do it" ideology and just look at them as an impressive-or-amusing manager.

Also this.

I find a lot of the outspoken pro entrepreneurfags don't even know what an entrepreneur is. Ask a Musk fan what he does, and most of them will respond in a way that makes it seem like they believe he programs the software for the devices, engineers them and oversees the creation of them, when all he does is facilitates the labor of others and takes credit for it in the end.

People need to realize that literally anyone with capital can become an entrepreneur. It's a class based activity.

My boss likes me, I don't want to kill him in the revolution…

What do I do leftypol?

That sounds so dystopic yet so fun

Lobby your local worker council to get him placed into the gulag instead.

Ask him to hand over the means of production peacefully.
Don't much like this friend-boss business. A paternalistic boss, sure, but the push towards capitalists acting like friends has been one of the most disconcerting and irritating elements of post-fordism.

...

It's hilariously ironic that Musk's company is named Tesla when his business practices are literally identical to Edison's, right down to taking credit for the inventions.

Nah dude. Dems will seriously start to run people like Elon Musk, Zuckerberg, and Mark Cuban….and burgers will eat that shit up cause they seem "genuine"

Convince him not to take up arms and fight for the counterrevolutionaries. We should give willing bourgies a chance to surrender; massacres make the revolutionary war last longer and a powerless, expropriated ex-porky minority isn't gonna roll back socialism.

Elon Musk wasn't born in the United States, so he cannot be president.
Zuckerberg and Cuban are too autistic and charmless, so I doubt they're considered.

Zuckerberg and Cuban are too autistic and charmless

Yeah forgot about that for Musk. Cuban could feasibly pull it off…he doesn't seem any less autistic than Trump. Heck I rememeber Micheal Moore suggesting the Democrats run Oprah or Tom Hanks. 2020 is gonna be quite the shitshow nonetheless.

Is that fat fuck stupid or what?

You tell me. He was convinced into supporting Clinton because "she's nice".

This should trigger you guys.
