When the FUCK is shit hitting the fan?

I dont really care about revolution per se, but just wanna see shit hit then fan? Wasn't there supposed to be an economic crash happening? Weren't we supposed to get WW3 soon? Well come on then, lets get on with! I just wanna escape the boredom of day-to-day life.

I almost think a crash won't come until there's another boom, and for now we'll just get stagnation

Have you considered anarkiddieism?

If shit goes down , you gonna lose. Hard. Better the world be stable a little longer for you.

So yourstrategy is just sitring and weting for something??

No. I'm apolitical. Dont really care about what happens to society, just wanna save my own ass if shit goes down.

Maybe. Maybe not. Capitalism has pretty much left me a debt-slave(student loans) at this point and day to day life is soul crushingly depressing. Maybe a violent change would be better?

Yeah pretty much. Just work so I can eat and live for now and hope I can escape it somehow through a "happening"

True, but military/militias/police will still beat your ass. The only place you may have the necessary number to win is the UK.

You truly are a cancerous opportunist, like many on this board. Kill yourself.

I would feel guilt sure for wishing it to happen and knowing it would legitimately harm others. But at the same time why should I care? Its not like virtue for an abstract goal has ever helped me.

(You)
Read a book, faggot.

And will that improve my material conditions at all? What will it do besides instill a false sense that my newfound knowledge will lead to something tangent when in reality it will most likely achieve nothing at all?

Understanding your material conditions directly determines your ability to affect your material conditions. And even if you're completely unable to change anything (unlikely), you'll still be able to cope better if you understand how you relate to the system that fucks you.

But what makes you think I dont understand exactly what it is that has fucked me? Its clearly capitalism. What more would I need to know? Don't get me wrong I would support a true socialist movement were it to happen but is wishing for a crash really that bad? Isn't that the only way things can ever change?

I got confused thinking I got tagged

You are a retard. Blaming capitalism for everything without looking at truth is pure idealism disguised a materialism. Even worse, it is reductionism. Nothing will come out of a crash if there is no serious communist party.

Understanding that capitalism is fucking you is important, but it's more important to understand how it's fucking you.
No, that's not wrong, and anyone trying to tell you otherwise is a dick. The reason why the revolution isn't going to come any time soon is because people view things as hopeless, which is why they won't do anything. It's a self-defeating attitude. The only way out is by learning how to resist. Tbh I think most leftists are just waiting for the upcoming crash to do anything, but when it comes I think a lot of them will be unprepared to do any actual revolutionary stuff.

Severe depressions can last for a decade, as it did in 1929-1939

I think I do though. After all, I live through it day by day,

I think thats true as well. Its not like the socialist movement is strong enough in the world to pose a genuine threat imo. I'm just hoping for a crash and a war to lead to a sort of reset. At least some means of escape. Its not like people will be able to pay back their debts soon enough and I'm just hoping for a genuine crash to lead to some sort of relief.
Idk though, just a very optimistic view of how things will end up I suppose.

...

Holy shit. Quints confirm.

True, but I don't think this upcoming crash is going to be like anything we've ever seen. The US still hasn't recovered entirely from 2008, and with climate change and the effects of rampant deregulation headed towards us I think there's gonna be some chaotic shit going on. The Great Depression almost destroyed capitalism, this upcoming crash has some major revolutionary potential.

A crash without an organized left to capitalize on it would be disastrous. What we need now more than anything is groups of people who have a deep knowledge of leftist theory and are willing to lead when the time comes.

A lot of people view theory as useless, and while some of it is, there's a lot of theory that is extremely useful. Any leftist society would need to organize itself, and having a rigorous theoretical basis for that organization is crucial. What a transitional stage would look like, how to make decisions, how to distribute resources, etc. are all important to the functioning of a healthy society.

I don't know why but that pic always makes me chuckle

...

Less than 10 years. The US is going into hyperdrive in separating it's population from productivity, while at the same time bailing on trade deals and alienating allies. That will result in a loss of influence globally, as the traditional allies of the US start to ostracize it.

The US will eventually no longer be able to influence politics globally without direct involvement. Former allies will become enemies, both politically, economically and militarily. While the US wages war without, a separate war will rage within as people get more and more fed up with the situation. The US won't be able to maintain a war on a global scale, and will collapse.

The world economy is a fiction, a massive bubble, an increasingly unwieldy simulacrum. Tech, real estate and finance are three card castles. One goes down, the others follow.

Ellen says there won't be another crash in our lifetimes

*Yelen

what about the tech startup boom? better this than nothing.

And its bullshit.

I'm with the other user, it will probably be less than 10 years. Perhaps by 2020 even.

I'll take cynical escapism for one thousand dollars.

Anarchy is apolitical.
Read Stirner. If you're doing nothing and just waiting then meanwhile read a fuck ton.

And you believe her? What a fool you are.

miss me with that post-left shit
