Guys I need help. When I was much younger, I got embroiled in race realism and got into the alt right through that. I was involved in that for like 5 years throughout my teens. The whole time I still kinda had a leftist streak. A lot of those guys were libertarians, which is really a red flag unto itself, who believed in scientific racism. Later on I realized they were just really mean people; shitposters from 4chan who loved memes more than facts and got their kicks from bullying people; the worst aspects of adolescence embodied in a culture. Now I tend not to think about politics that much, but I feel kinda annoyed because I don't have a coherent leftist ideology. i see myself as vaguely leftist. I might even say I'd like a sort of heavily social democratic state, scandanavian bernie sanders type stuff. But i feel like my belief in socialism isn't as affirm as it should be. And I'm not exactly sure what I want or how it would be implemented. You guys got any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Maybe I'm still insecure because I internalized a lot of austrian style bullshit.

I used to be a right wing libertarian and this video helped me move farther left.
overall, I recommend you lurk around for a few weeks and see the arguments being made. That's what I did.

Read a fucking book.

Understand that socialism means the abolition of commodity production, exchange, and the value form, and skip right past the market 'socialism' phase a lot of people go through.

If you are willing to spend some time, you can learn to understand what socialism is beyond solidarity and wanting to help workers. There is quite some analysis as to why capitalism is harmful to human relations both local and global, while also harming nature in the process. This way you might find a more coherent understanding of socialism and capitalism as a whole. If you wonder what is lacking from Social Democracy, then it I can point out that it doesn't seek to remove the systemic violence which capitalism causes.

Don't forget that revolution is fun.

read that its by albert einstein on why socialism is GOAT

If you have any questions about socialism/communism, I will answer them to the best of my ability. Also I love Wage Labour and Capital, can't recommend it enough. It's fairly short, less than 100 pages I believe, and is fairly insightful and, most importantly, concise. You can read it on the Marxist Internet Archive I think. Ill sit here and try to pinpoint your ideas to a certain group too. If you have questions about Anarchism though, I can attempt to answer them but there's about a 25% chance I'll be wrong.

Is Holla Forums trying to reverse false flag? I'm tickled, or you made a mistake in your post
