The donbass rebellion is the closest thing to a successful socialist worker's 3rd worldist rebellion in recent history.
If you want the defeat of these people you're either blinded by your western Russophobic prejudices(most people dismiss it just becaue its Russian and have a hard on for ukrainians because they believe the holodomor bullshit), or love western imperialism and neoliberalism.
What he fuck is the dude on the left doing with that gun?

Actually the entire Donbass region is full of Putin worshippers and fascists who discriminate against LGBTQ+ people, we should support the Ukrainian government, they want to get in the EU and have free trade, no borders, no nations!!!
You can only support the US-supported Rojava™ (official) against the genocidal dictator Assad
Cooper Edwards
O-okay comrade. I stand with the people of Donbass against the nazi fascist imperialist puppet Ukrainian government!
Gulag yourself user with that first world bullshit

Antifa are controlled opposition, dumbass. Not real anarchists, not real socialists. Just a bunch of trouble-making assholes

You're talking about your sheltered suburban petty-bourg antifa.

Oh, I'm just a bit doubtful of supporting them when 68 seats of 100 seats in their parliament are held by self-declared russophilic nationalists who have discussed about annexation with Russia. What doubles the weight of the last statement is when you account for the current political state of the Russia they wish to join. The fact that said party has an alliance with a trivially small communist party (M-L/Nazbol, 3 out of the 68 seats held by the alliance) doesn't really ease my suspicions.
The current Ukrainian government (or regime, depending on how you look at it) isn't ideal by any means, but I'm not going to lick the arses of these crypto-reactionaries either.
I wouldn't call an entire tank company worth of equipment crossing the border "little to no support", not even mentioning all the cross-border rocket and artillery attacks and the strange disappearance or deaths of local representatives and leaders following their sudden replacement with Kremlin goons. bellingcat.com/news/uk-and-europe/2017/04/02/tankspotting-t-90as-donbass/
Some sources on those claims of yours would be nice, too.

Admittedly most people of the donbass rebellion are pro-Russian, but only because it was Russia who called for the Ukroshits to stop bombing their children, raping their women, and torturing their workers. The original demands were simply federalization of Ukraine and gaurantees that the ukronazi government wouldn't ban Russian culture(something which they continuously do) .
Currently most DPR/LPR politicians dislike Russia because it betrayed them by not How is it reactionary to take away the MoP from oligarchs and rebel against neoliberals?
You do know he's nothing but another neoliberal outlet regurgitating western lies right using amatuerish twitter evidence or fabrications by the Ukrainian regime?
Look at deeds more than names. Although there are definitely oligarch puppets and some reactionaries, the donbass rebellion was at its core anti-western, anti-free market, pro-worker, and anti-imperialist.
Jason Hall

Third Worldism will always become "NazBol" when put into practice. The colonized peoples of the world do not think in linear time and they will place their religious and ethnic values ahead of any western notion of "progress".

You Communist faggots need to fuck off from Novo-Rossiya (take that schizophrenic Texas with you on the way out), after we deal with the Ukrop we will deal with you next!
Good cannon-fodder for now… especially the Brazilians.
Nope man they are only proxies of Russia and they are just a bunch or retarded ultra nationalistic Russians I supported them at the beginning but after watching it unfold they aren't socialists so nope man. Both Rojava-Kurdistan and Novorussia are just proxies of conflicting imperialistic powers the US and Russia to be 100% clear about it.

I don't know enough about the poltics of this thing, all I know is that they aren't nice to teh gays

Oh look it's this thread again.
No, ethnic enclaves turned satellite states does not equal socialism just because they swish Soviet flags around. Russians still do it all the time not out of love for socialism, but because it harkens back to a time when their country was strong, so it's a symbol of nationalism.
Luhansk's communist party isn't even in the ruling coalition.
I'm sorry comr8 but this isn't the new revolution. Admittedly, Ukraine now is a hair away from fascism-cum-neoliberalism, and Russians still have a trace of anti-fascism and internationalism in them, but the common trait here among the ruling parties is just Russian nationalism. Trust me, I want just as much as you for socialism to rise again, but it won't be here.
This is just realpolitik as it was pre-1917. It's an old imperialist trick to grab land while avoiding direct war: get the people from your ethnicity living in a neighboring country along the border to declare independence, indirectly help them win, then annex them. Socialism isn't even a factor.
Ukraine had and still has lower PPP and GDP than most african countries.
Easton Cruz
Tbh it is two sides of imperialists: on advancing Russian expansionism, the other that of European Capital. The only side you can take is that of self determination, but even then Russia has hijacked NovoRossya (all the major commanders died last and this year, replaced by Russian officers) and Ukraine is just going to be another market for western porky instead of Eastern porky. It is a pretty depressing conflict for us.
Ayden Watson
There is nothing imperialistic in the Novorussian rebellion because Russia doesn't even want the lands(they have nothing that Russia doesn't already have) or wants to help the people in the first place.
Contrary to what Stephen Harper, NYT, wikipedia or Donald Tusk tell you, Russia has no need for such an economic wasteland, and won't violate international law to get it. You also act like the Donbass was "planted" by Russia to cause unrest in Ukraine, when its actually the opposite with Ukraine trying to assimilate the population there by banning the Russian language and spreading "muh holodomor" propaganda. The Russians in Donbass are natives there since midieval times.
If you were true socialists, you would welcome any rebellion against neoliberalism even if its not perfectly internationalist and theoretically socialist. Socialism rarely begins pure.
Ryder Wilson
Oh boy here we go again.
Easton Adams
this is your brain on tankieism.
Jeremiah Cooper
Russia's major porky is extractive industries. They don't need less developed markets.
Julian Brooks
Donbass was made part of Ukraine by Kruschev's administrative reshuffling of the SSR borders in the fifties. Before the Ukr government went full on nazi this was no big deal, but why should they have to stay in a place that now hates them?
Kevin Hughes
This
We must support Ukrainian neo-nazis in their struggle against Russian imperialism and their quest for revenge of the Holodomor.
Justin Turner
or you can just not support any side because they both suck. maybe nato expansionism is bad, and maybe russian expansionism is also bad, and peep this: maybe this imperialist power struggle has nothing to do with class struggle and communism. shocking huh?
Xavier Hill
Resting comfortable in your armchair?
Daniel Morgan
This is what tankies actually believe. They are literally an imperialist puppet by russia.
Jacob Richardson
okay
Wyatt Ross
And the US claimed not to want to annex Texas. Realpolitik. Also, countries don't usually pass up even the most inhospitable territories. Brazil annexed a chunk of nigh-unreachable from Bolivia (tho admittedly, at the time it still had some economic value) and Morocco is still fighting over Western Sahara.
Of course they weren't planted, they ended up inside modern Ukrainian borders because of constant political shifts through the centuries. The thing about encouraging your people to jump the border and settle neighboring land is how it usually played out. But the current situation was good enough for a land grab. And I know Ukrainians are cunts, but this doesn't stop this from being reactionaries versus reactionaries.
Like I said, socialism isn't even a factor here. Putin's mafia-capitalism is better than Ukrainian fascism-cum-neoliberalism, but that isn't saying much. Both sides are the worst, as Uncle Joe might say. There's no chance for socialism to being here, sadly. We have no skin in the game. I wish the civilians in the new republics all the best, but that's it.
And as usual, I'm baffled by tankies' support of Putin. Beyond him being clearly reactionary in both mind and deed, he's a porky and he has dissed Lenin himself. You know that if he sniffed the smallest hint of socialist rebellion within his borders, he would crush it with extreme prejudice.
Cooper Rodriguez
Yep it's probably that party. As you read you'll see thet members of that party have already fought against Daesh. They will either die with honor where they fight or never come back (They are going to be arrested as soon as they cross the Spanish frontier, and the media will treat them as war criminals, such is this country)
Wyatt Perez
Russia's primary interests have ever since Stalin been establishing buffer states between it an NATO, this is no different. Anything that fucks with the strategic interests of the EU and NATO at this point is welcome (except for nationalist and fascists taking power in member states). It remains to be seen what direction DPR and LPR take but I remain skeptical.
Jace Sanders
Citation needed. The majority of the population there considered themselves Ukrainian.
