Jeremy Corbyn

Overall, do we like him or is he just another Porky in sheep's clothing?

You must be new here. Unless the entire board is bullshitting, I'm pretty sure we like him.

I've seen people saying he's just a succdem

He's basically the British Obama.

He is no Lenin or Maknho.
But he is still a Marxist and his discourse is becoming more radical whilst gaining more support.
I don't think Corvbyn will bring socialism, abolish private property, seize the means and remove the capitslist state opperatus, but he will push the discourse to the left and introduce the seeds of revolution, but you have to understand he is a demsoc

He's the best that a major (post-)industrial parliamentary liberal country has seen come anywhere near power for probably decades. His surge in popularity and solid support from party rank and file, especially in spite of the shameless sabotage attempts from the Blairites within his own party is a genuine reason for hope that old fashioned left wing ideas are back on the field for real.

I like him, and more than that I like what he represents, but it's good to be realistic about what he can achieve within the parliamentary system. But I pretty much have only good things to say.

...

He is, but he's a bit further left than say, Bernie Sanders, and much like Sanders he probably wouldn't throw porkies in gulags, but he's pushing the conversation away from the neoliberal bullshit that'd been dominating politics for the past while.

he's an actual anti-interventionist which is why it's nuts he's done so well in a country that wants to maintain the relevance of their dead empire, and all the old fucks there want to nuke iran and DPRK

"No you see I won because I didn't lose as hard as was expected because my opponent's campaign imploded."

amerifats pls leave

he is insufferable

hi reddit, you know what a snap election is?

you can't deny it tho, is right

No your samefagging doesn't make you right. One party gained seats and the momentum in an election that didn't even have to happen - meaning otherwise they'd be in a worse position till the next general. The other party lost their majority and has to cuck themselves to an insane smaller party.

There, now you learned something. No go back to bitching about drumpf or whatever it is you guys do.

right, May blew the Tories with idiotic calls and proposals up, nobody is denying this as stated and had nothing to do with his policies as seen on the graph

You're defining the Win-condition as gaining seats ( aka patting yourself on the shoulder for not losing as hard) while everyone else is defining it who gets the nomination as the Prime Minister.

Socialism will never get a voice in any Parliament. Comrade Corynchev is a social democrat, while not exactly commie he does have some chance of fucking up Tories which is good in my book.

Burgers and blarites get off my board reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Please.

Under the circumstances it's not a loss. It's not a victory either. It is, however, a significant gain. I suggest you do a quick read on parliamentarism.

...

...

Labour gained seats, while the tories lost seats. Tories even lost their fucking majority, the election was a catastrophy for may.

Nah mate, you have to think bigger.

Just according to keikaku, all the appeals to moderation and betrayals were all just one big, century-spanning ruse.

...

Just a succdem, who happens to promise more free stuff.

How about no? The SPD has been betraying the workers since 1914 and the Grüne are now the FDP's neolibs in a snazzy biodegradable green coating.

...

wrong

...

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anti-imperialism in the west is singularly more important than any single effort you've contributed to in your entire life

...

自分を殺す

What does this have to do with Corbyn?

You know if you know nothing about a subject you can absolutely volunteer to stay silent ahead of time

You really think Corbyn is an anti-imperialist or something?

at this point, anti-interventionist is the best the West can offer in that area so uh yeah

No need to be salty just because the best your country can do is some crusty old jew who thinks we should only suck israel and the ksa dry some of the time.

...

what are you on about cunt? the tax lines are 80k and 123k, corbyn earns 143k

This, he is increasing taxes on himself.

When the opposition leader is proposing policies and then the government is implementing them to avoid the backlash of that not ALREADY being policy (see the requisitioning houses for the fire victims) they're basically as good as prime minister already. An incredibly shakey Tory minority propped up by terrorists is probably actively better for labor than a labor minority/coalition.

All a symptom of how out of touch the establishment line on foreign policy is: "Look at that crazy Corbyn, he thinks our MENA foreign adventurism is making us less safe"
The entire public: "uh, duh?"

I think that anti-interventionism/pacifism will definitely have more support (especially among young people) because of Trump. If he tries regime change in Iran or Syria and invites us along I can't see much public support.
