What I've learned hunting down shills

I know, I hate to link to reddit but I thought this was too interesting not too.

reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comments/6ib4n9/what_ive_learned_hunting_down_shills/

To test it, I sent a few shills messages that said "The link in the body of this message will give me your IP", on the assumption that a piece of their code is "check links for context" or something. They still clicked with the same speed and responded differently each time with things like "you don't have my IP you little bitch", or "nice try, shill". Things like that. Seemingly baiting me into an organic-seeming conversation.
Wanna test it out, maybe see the information that I'm referencing?
>(EDIT: Had to take the link down. Someone tracked their own IP. lol I'll link a pic of the same content as it was when I linked the original page. i.imgur.com/1CCMIp6.png If you wanna test it out, you'll have to go to blasze.com and set up a new link. It's super easy. Ok back to the OG post.)

I wouldn't be surprised if this was true, while I trust my gut feeling I don't know jack shit about technology though, so I can't make an accurate judgement. For about half a year I've had this suspicion that most threads on halfchan Holla Forums are created by (and maybe even filled with) bots. There's even been a few threads showing up now and then that post similar theories with proof.

If some tech-savy user would actually prove this it would be a pretty major thing

This also happens with newspaper comments in the UK. These people are online from 8AM to 10PM shilling for the Tories everywhere.
Somewhere in the deep state is a very advanced useful idiot AI.

Yeah I do kind of try to assume anyone I'm arguing with over the internet is a legit person but I do sometimes wonder whether some of them are part of something larger.

I've seen this as well. Spectrum of opinion in the HYS on the BBC is suspiciously narrow and consistent, always shilling the same set of interpretations on any article.

As a computer security expert I should look more into this.
but I probably won't

Reddit is really the perfect environment for bots. You have bought mods banning anyone that would even raise the issue and then a built in metric for posting algorithms to correct to in the form of upvotes.

It's just what we've always known. To save the internet we must destroy reddit

Is there anything Yugo posters can't do?

Alternate explanation to "everyone is bots"

What if they just have some bots set up to monitor the shill accounts, and when relevant activity occurs, the bots notify a human at a computer. That way they maximize the efficiency of bot response time and the human-ness of the response. Given that these are probably corporate-level shills, of course they're going to use the most efficient methods they can. And it's much much easier to just put some interns to work shitposting than to develop an AI to do it.

But why has nobody blown the whistle on it?

I'm not the least bit interested in anything about that website unless it has to do with porn and runescape, and only as last resorts.

Don't link that garbage here please, no matter how interesting you find it to be.

Alienation from product? You set it up so that you have maybe hundreds or thousands of shill accounts. Then you have a dozen guys around the world with computers. Each time someone responds to a shill account, the bots ping one of those guys with a task to give an appropriate response. Their interface could be as simple as the content of the post they're replying to and a field to enter their reply. They may not know who they're replying to, what account they're replying with, what subreddit this is on, etc. I see a lot of reddit comments with zero grasp of context. Especially the idpol ones.

It's probably a mixture of both. The US air Force developed software for creating and managing multiple accounts. They probably have bots giving stock posts and humans generating the more complex shit.

Bots are everywhere, op. And yes they're used for shilling a lot.
For instance, you can go on the deep web and buy social media followers for peanuts. Big companies do it a lot, and of course if they do it properly you won't realize it, but most of them don't even bother.

It's real people. They have bot features, but real people take over all the time.

Bots and side accounts are used on Reddit constantly, it's how companies advertise and political organizations shill. This is literally nothing new, and has been known for a good five years at least. What you've got here is some dumb ledditard thinking he has uncovered a grand conspiracy, and comments even dumber, saying things like "WHEN THE_DONALD DOES SOMETHING EMBARRASSING, ITS BOT SHILLS!"

Read Marx.

fuck..

Brainlet.

t. believes the memes

It's ok you could have been shilling for cultural appropriators that went to Charterhouse School and the University of Westminster darling.
Like Peaky Saku the rapper who called out the "rich porkies" with his platted dreadlocks and fake commoner accent.

https ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4wTUzdvs9M

Silicon Valley nerds that are shitting themselves make markov chain bots to spread mass fascist propaganda.

IMAGINE MY SUPRISE.

based Kim will nuke California tho so it'll be all good.

I know that 4chan Holla Forums is basically data mining everything. Ever since the election that board became /datamining/ instead of a board with legitimate users. If you've been to halfchan pol pre election and post election you know what I'm talking about.

It's also really easy to subvert a lot of people. You have a supposedly political neutral subreddit r/politics, but it's more like r/liberal with a lot of bots being active there.

Maybe, but the whole reason of using bots is that you can automatically controll narratives without involvement of people. The problem with the involvement of (many) people is that you get the 2 center stories of China. Now nobody in China believes shit anymore since 2 centers for the party are rampant spreading propaganda.

What you want is for the people to have no idea whatsoever that the content is regulated by bots and a narrative, an illusion of free speech that is not there.

The actual number of Trump-defense-bots on the web would probably shock you. I know "everyone does it", but their team, specifically, is frightening.

Anti multicult views have always been popular on internet. Anti Trump stuff is more prevalent.

Nobody was excited for Clinton her rallies, the turnout to her campaign speeches was abysmal, terrible. So I doubt there were many who were super excited for her, but the internet spun that around with ctr type of shilling.

Trump on the other hand did have an actual big turnout for his rallies, so it seems natural in this day and age that that would also spread to social media, along with his pressence being much bigger on social media than any opponents.

t. trumpbot

He's right though. Clinton had to pay people to come to her events and not heckle her. The only people that cared about her were the wealthy, and eventually the wealthy and those that were scared of Trump.

Holla Forums will talk up Trump alot, 4d chess etc, but the one thing he actually did well was play to a mass of media-soaked idiots and get them riled up. He mastered the art of reality tv, and his supporters ate it up.

The only sub on reddit that I heartily enjoy is r/fifthworldvideos. I wouldn't mind r/Futurology so much if it weren't for the constant UBI shilling. Practically everyone on that sub is a stupid idiot.

did u rike it?

got any proofs to go with your redditspacing Ron Vibbentrop?

Meet watson and its clones.

Google has a clone of it too I suspect now. The .mil* has one in texas too doing…. something… idk what.
I knew there were dedicated bot farms. Looks like ZOG Occupied Government's come from amazon. Interesting. Does amazon = mil watson? Someone find out for teh lulz.

hmmm not okay with this one bit. It's something you kind of subconsciously know is happening but due to the nature of it, the scale is unpredictable. The thing that worries me the most is I can't for the life of me (and I could be totally proven wrong by someone more technically capable than me) think of a solution to this. The site owners are the best bet to mitigate the effects but chances are they're involved one way or the other. This is depressing honestly, I almost feel as if I would be better off being ignorant of it all.

How do you get a youtube link redirect to a different website?

Pay IMF debts

ya think?

There are three solutions.
Takeover amazon and shut it down.
Block all amazon ipv4 and ipv6 ip's ranges(yes it could use a proxy but not for the amount of shitposting it sends everywhere).
Or websites open their ass cheeks for the fucking the ai gives them(like jewtube).
