Consider this a spiritual successor that builds off the lessons of Bunkermag. Spectre Rouge is meant to be a journal with a more coherent focus, more disciplined update schedule, and higher standards. We will publish quarterly with roughly ten articles or so, a book review, and some art.
Here's the blurb I put on the page itself:
>If you’re interested, contact me at [email protected]/* */
I've reached out to many members of the community for contributions, some notables who have shown interest: Catgrill Drawfriend, Muke, Paps and Dr. Bones. You can add your name to the list!
All together I have about 10 article commitments on a wide variety of topics, and 4 art commitments. I could also use someone with experience in web design to help put together an appealing site.
This thread is for some feedback and brain storming. One of the first things I'd like feedback on is whether to have a donate link or patreon to help pay for hosting fees, the rest of which would be divided among the contributors (minus myself). Here's a poll for input: strawpoll.me/13227131
Much like Bunkermag, our strategy for promotion will be posting articles on leftypol, my fb page (which just hit 30k likes and 1 million reach today), and relevant subreddits. facebook.com/DCMNSP/
The reason I made this thread, is that much like bunkermag and declasscucking memes, I want this to be a project of the community. It was Holla Forums that made me into a socialist all those years ago, and for that I am forever grateful.
What do you mean by quality articles? I could pull off 2k words on media for the second or third issue if that's a topic worth exploring.
Eli Martinez
Do we choose topics ourselves or is there a specific focus for each issue?
Grayson Torres
I'm not sure we have the graphic design resources needed to make that happen.
Quality mostly in terms of thoughtfulness, lots of things I can fix, but I can't add thought to a piece. But yes, I think we could use a piece of the media at some point.
For this first issue we are just establishing our point of view, for the subsequent one's there will be a more central theme. However there will always be some author discretion.
Nathan Thompson
Lainzine made it happen why can't we?
Ryan Thomas
nice. good luck with it
Eli Rodriguez
I'd need at least one more person good with graphic design to work on it then. I wouldn't have enough time between the 10th and the 30th to edit AND design all the pages
Leo Wright
Your landing page page says stuff about alternative POV and being anti-establishment. Is there a reason you didn't say socialist or leftist?
Liam Morales
pls do yor best editor san
Evan Mitchell
I want the weight of our ideas to stand for themselves without labels, although I'm sure there will be plenty of discussion of socialism and leftism in our pages.
Jack Turner

Editor-san, Patreon + pdf ebook journal/print copy would be a good way to finance the operation.
It could be something like $5 for pdf version and $15 for physical printed copy.
I believe there are on-demand print and deliver shops like peecho.com/
The only limiting factor someone who will do the layout.
