consider that debt can be traded as a commodity and profits extracted from it. if you have a maxed out credit card, the credit card company still get money on your interest repayments, even if you owe them a large sum of money, in fact the large the sum, the better, because the more money that can be extracted.

if you are receiving benefits, tax payers work, they pay the tax man, the tax man gives money to social security, social security give money to you, you give money to shops, rent etc. each one of these institutions have employees, who work and produce, each has a working cash flow that interest can be gained on.

even if your parents pay your way, they still have to go to work, they may even have to work harder, and some of that wealth goes into your hands, which you then spend in shops which they may have instead saved.

if you are involved in anyway in the exchange of money, you are benefiting capitalism

NEETs, like all real world phenomenon, are a product of material conditions. In this case, extreme alienation and a failure on the left to produce a working alternative to the soul-crushing grind of capitalism. Thing is, in the first world anyway, a lot of jobs are what you would call "bullshit jobs". Make-work jobs that exist only for the sake of creating work (either for tax credits or manager ego or what have you) and don't contribute in any meaningful way to society. (Sorry, but the 'contribute to society' meme is just that: a meme. I hate to break it to you wagecucks, but odds are you aren't contributing shit to society. Your only real "contribution" is to porky's back pocket.) Or jobs that only still exist because management is too incompetent to automate them out of existence.
And even in the ones where they are contributing something to society, they are an easily replaceable cog among thousands the minute they step out of line at best. At worst, they are an easily replaceable cog among thousands whose job is bound at some point or another going to be automated anyway.

NEETs know this, either consciously or subconsciously. Thus they try to find away around the system of labor-value. Try to find away around being a wage slave. Of course, one cannot completely escape the confines of capitalism, unless you are some ragged survivalist anprim you can't escape the law of commodity fetishism.
While it easily explains why NEETs don't clamour to get dead end low wage jobs, what about the other part of the acronym? Education and Training. Since they're roughly the same thing I can tackle both at once:
Because "education" (at least here in the US) is one of two things:

A. A glorified daycare for children under 19 where they teach the more useful skills very early on and then teach nothing but useless crap (if not outright propaganda) after gradeschool.
B. A debt factory In which you spend a lot of time getting a degree with often times ends up entirely useless anyway. (I hear it all the time. People go to college, get fancy degrees, then come back and find themselves having to compete with highschool dropouts for restaurant jobs.) Not to mention the subjects that these people would like to be educated in (in my case, drawing and art) isn't profitable so it ends up being a waste of money. Instead, most of the emphasis in post-highschool education is based around finance and business.

NEETs also exist because the left has completely failed. Socialist revolution simply isn't an option at the current time in these nations, so in order to escape the grind of capital they need to resort to looking after #1 because they have no other real alternative short of a dead end 40-120 hour job that will leave them devoid of any soul.

So that begs the question: how does a socialist system get rid of NEETS?
No. Get the fuck out of here with your ill-placed revenge fantasy. First, good luck getting socialism in the first place without reaching out to the disenfranchised (and yes this includes NEETs you guys.) All this attitude does is provide a non-solution that gives Porky more rhetorical ammo.
Second, not every problem needs to be solved at the barrel of a gun.

The real solution? Full Employment done right. As in, evenly distributing the workforce among jobs that have to be done to reduce necessary working hours towards socially necessary jobs, and automating what you can to reduce the workload even further. None of this soviet-style shit of 3 store clerks working 9 hours a day to sell you one loaf of bread. Ironically enough, Full Employment should be about reducing workload, not increasing it for the sake of some idealistic worker fetish.
I guarantee that if their workweek was 1-10 hours per week or even per month, a socialist system would not have a NEET problem.

Most of us here work and even then I detest that I have to work when we have such high unemployment ie the workload that maintains our society ought to be shared, not dumped on the shoulders of a precarious workforce that lives in fear of being replaced by either the ostracised unemployed, desperate immigrant or a robot.

Work is a means to an end, not the goal itself. You are not free if you dedicate most of your time to work, that includes getting ready for it, preparing lunches that you would not otherwise eat or pay for in your own time, laundering clothes that you only wear for work, getting to work and back.
