Hypermaoism now!

This big-headed fuck will be perfect for the guillotine.

Well, he IS right.

I just don't have the stomach to be a white collar criminal.

It's not you're fault you're not a sociopath.

Stupid responsible faggot parents with their authoritative familial warmth.

Jack Ma will be #1 victim of the next cultural revoltion

“You are poor because you do not have the desire to become successful.

“You are poor because you lack foresight.

“You are poor because you cannot overcome your cowardice.

“You are poor because you lack the courage and determination.

“With ambition you can overcome all inferiority and maximize your potential!

“With ambition you can persevere, continuously learn new things and strive for perfection.

“With ambition you can defy all odds, and create miracles when others dare not.

“No matter how poor your family is, do not doubt your own abilities and lose sight of your ambition.

“When your family deems you worthless, no one will pity you.

“When your parents do not have money to pay the medical bills, no one will pity you.

“When you are beaten by your competitors, no one will pity you.

“When your loved ones abandon you, no one will pity you.

“When you have not accomplished anything by the time you are 35, no one will pity you.

“Go big, or go home. Otherwise, you’re wasting your youth.”

Too long didn't read. A spoiled rich person's words are worth as much as a used piece of toilet paper to me.

Can we get some serious answers to this?

He was dirt poor and built himself up, after many failures. Literally bootstrap shit - What's your excuse??

100% of people cant be 1%ters. Its not school where everyone can get A's if they worked hard enough. Its the same with lottery - you can be a millionaire! - no, everyone cant win. Bullshit and gaslighting.

but what about the people who lost millions and went broke during the last financial crisis? I pesonaly know families that lost everything and are now lower-middle class and struggling to pay bills every month because they invested in the wrong companies and hedge funds. Why the fuck are they at fault for that? no one, including their financial advisors and all the economists and wealth management firms knew that they were investing in crap (or if they did they did not tell their clients at all, something Blankfein admits to not doing at GS). I just don't fucking get how you are at fault in a gigantic casino where everyone is pointing guns at each other's balls and has a guy they hired waiting to mug everyone when they leave the table. I just don't fucking get it, unless you consider these people psychopaths (and I do) then it makes sense.

they weren't ambitious enough

Every last apologists for capitalism who spouts out this kind of nonsense should be forced to play a game where the rules are: they go to some sweatshop in India or mine in South Africa and repeat the same "motivational" bullshit they've just told their braindead petit-bourgeois audience back in that comfy conference room. If they get lynched, they loose.

bump

You guys are a bunch of retards. This guy came from a poor family in fucking China. He failed several college entrance exams. He applied to Harvard a bunch of times and was denied every time. He applied for 30 jobs and was rejected. His math scores on the college exams sucked dick. He was skinny and was paid under 50 bucks a month for teaching english while he was a professor. Yet, he is now the richest man in China.

This was not a lottery or luck. It was sheer determination and hard work. Something you leftards will never understand.

except that the lottery is actually much better because it has a calculable chance of winning, whereas the uncertainties of business are incalculable.

youtube.com/watch?v=2kzGKVLslE0

...

faggot

I'll give you two tickets if you suck my dick.

This is why you'll never be successful. You sit there smug in your chair being negative and shitting on everyone's success. You'll never make it.

Says the guy with zero tickets.

None of that had anything to do with him becoming wealthy. He was just the first one to stake out a growth market (e-sales in China), and due to scale effects quickly monopolized that market. Good on him, but all the "hard work" is a giant red herring.

Literally just luck.

Notice how if everyone in China did the same thing he did there would literally be little to no change in the actual distribution of resources you dumb cuck

All I see when I read this is failures. You are bitter, angry, leftards blaming the world and not making any chance yourself.

It's like the little freak wants to be beaten to death?!

What about you? Did you work hard enough to become the next millionaire? Remember, everyone — including you — can do it. :^)

How about you "chance" your own post, illiterate boob.

No. I did not work hard enough to become the next millionaire. I am working hard right now, and I'm not having a good time. Know why? Because it's not supposed to be easy, otherwise everyone would do it.

I KNEW that you would pick on my misspelled word, chance. I knew that is all the ammo that you have. You are such a failure that you have to point out a typo like you haven't ever done any.

Again, you people will remain failures. All your insults amount to nothing, especially considering that I won't even stay here to argue with a bunch of idiots. Go and delete my thread, insult me, rage, this is all you can do really.

I meant, my post. Will someone point out this mistake too? The world needs another person who feels superior by pointing out minor mistakes.

...

Yeah but this isn't the lottery this is real life, there is no gurantee that you will be successful but you should atleast you should work hard to become successful no? I mean I do realise he was lucky, right place - right time. But he also legitimately put in tons of hard work. I'm not saying you will be nearly as rich as him if you try to do something similar, but atleast you can improve your wealth. Its better to atleast try and fail then not try at all. What do u think?

Republicans fail at logic.

When you're 60 and not a millionaire you're seriously going to regret not sucking my dick for those tickets, fag.

That's because you're working hard to make SOMEONE ELSE rich, you cuck. That's the whole fucking idea of capitalism- useful idiots like you working yourselves to death for the benefit of the ruling class

I'd rather gamble on abolishing the lottery than partake in it. Particularly because there isn't even a garuntee you'll wind up better than you started. The ticket analogy is appropriate because that's the only thing trying guarantees you - a ticket. At some point you have to ask: is this incredibly slim chance of success worth the time I'm wasting doing something I don't enjoy?

(Well actually as a socdem I'm more likely to use the lottery as a stealth-tax on the stupid, the gullible and the desperate.)

Sweet summer child.

Ah I see your point, that makes sense. Btw I just used the Porky flag to stir discussion. Nice to see as a socdem that you would take this approach and could clearly convey your ideas, i was a bit confused at what u meant by lottery before

You disgust me.

If you don't have a high school diploma and a steady job by the time you are 21 then you're pretty much a failure in my yes. It's not that hard when you don't have unrealistically high standards. Just go learn a skill. I know a guy that makes $800 a week working at a bakery/restaurant just cutting dough for donuts, honey buns and Beignets cause he's not easy to replace. Go learn how to spray insulation foam, go be an electrician, provide a service people need. Go learn how to cut hair at a beauty school instead of wasting money and time at college. Learn something at least

opinion discarded

Unwarranted self importance the post.

Most potential "white collar criminals" are eaten alive before they even cheat their first client. You'll never compete with these guys, they have the market cornered on that. It's not as easy to get rich as you think, even if you want to break the law. You could try and sell drugs or something, but there's a very high chance you'll either be dead or in jail before you ever get near being rich, only very few make it.

Jesus. Success after a hard life drove him mad. I don't understand this attitude, I mean, the guy did well for himself, why does he have to be such a dick about it?

I can see that he might be trying to encourage people to try to chase their ambition or whatever, but then he's adding all this 'if you fail, you deserve it' stuff, when, from his bio, it looks like it could have gone either way for him. Does he see it as tough love?

Survivor Bias. The reason he succeded was because he got lucky in carving out a niche and establishing a monopoly as pointed out by

I thought everyone could do it and it was in everybody's reach to become a billionaire if only they truly wanted to become one. :^)

OP even if you're trolling (though I doubt you are), thank you for this. Your posts are a breath of fresh air in this shithole filled with insipid pseudointellectuals.

Anyone can if they work hard enough. If you aren't willing to work 20 hours a day then you're just lazy. Anyone can get a monopoly if they try hard enough, just keep focused and pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Stop posting on Holla Forums, stop watching movies or playing vidya, stop spending time with friends and family, stop eating for more than 2 minutes at a time, and spend all your time working and raising capital and there's a chance you'll make it big.

Say that to sweatshop workers and diamond miners. I can guarantee that they work harder than you. No matter how hard they work they are never closer to becoming more successful.

Work smarter, not harder.

I.e. exploit more people.
What a wonderful advice. I'm sure if everyone were to do this we could all be millionaires and billionaires! Truly a zero-sum game can ensure riches for all!

And before you launch the usual "You're just a bitter poorfag!" tirade: I actually come from a rich bourgie family.
If you seriously think luck equates talent, believe that CEOs work 2,000 times harder than their employees, and success earned from inherited wealth and family connections equates meritocracy, then you're a pathetic cuckold. And I'll never understand how much self-loathing and masochism needs to go in the mindset where you think you deserve to be a wage slave.
Now fuck off back to >>>/liberty/

B-but I was only pretending, anonkun.

Hey now, that one I object to. God save the king!

Seize the means of blini production.

Yes, I'm sure you do.

Ironic shitposting is still shitposting

What if I intend to make a quality post but I actually make a shitty post? At this stage, is it still shitposting if it's in earnest?

...

Not funny.

Uh-oh, looks like someone didn't sign the sweat pledge and paid attention to number 1.

Fucking hell, that's not winning a lottery, that's losing a bet with Satan.

America is one of the best countries to live in on the planet. To claim otherwise is delusional and idiotic.

funny how leftists are either "pseudo intellectual rich liberal bourgie college kids" or "lazy wagies slavies who deserve it" depending on what insult is more convenient

When you look at direction of travel, I would seriously consider the argument that it's better to be in a developing (and I mean developing, not "this country has been stagnant for decades but we can't say third world anymore") country knowing the direction of travel is positive and believing that life could be better in 2030 than it was in 2015 than being in a poor part of the US where the only certainty is that life in 2030 will be worse than in 2015.

Wew lad

It's literally the worst country to live in when it comes to the developed world. You're better off living in Europe by any metric — labor laws, income equality, education, healthcare, culture, crime, you name it.

not if you have a well-paying job. if you're poor, america sucks, but if you have money, it's a near paradise

And well-paying jobs are disappearing or at least not being generated enough to provide 20-somethings with work when they get out of college. In every case but being a 1% it'd be better to be a yuropoor than a burger.

Eh, "well paying" is nebulous. You've got to get pretty high into the memetic hiding place of the "middle class" to unambiguously beat out the Europeans.

To keep him is no benefit, to destroy him is no loss.

Only like 5% of the country is nice to live in. A third of it is literally on par with a third world nation.

such hard work

I wouldn't live in that cultureless wasteland not even if you give me a mansion in Long island and a deposit of 1 million dollars on my bank account every month.
USA is a country filled with boring retards.

How can we motivate the witless morons to fall on our pyramid scheme?
Pick a random loser, mark him to become millionaire while feeding him motivational bullshit. When his account is fed enough money set him loose to bully the rest of the cattle into feeding our scam cardhouse.

Good luck retard. I'm sure the Invisible Hand will look kindly upon your shitposting and grant you your well deserved gorillians.

It's amazing how many Americans force-feed themselves the lie that their country is the greatest on Earth. Have you even been anywhere else? Have you seen the quality of life Europeans have?

America consistently produces the dumbest, fattest, laziest people from a developed nation that I've ever met. Even in the more conservative anglosphere, Australians, Bongs, and Canadians are more educated and more effective people.

Step outside your red, white, and blue torture chamber and you'll see how bad America is.

Even Poland is better, we have free education and health care.

I live in the American South and outside of the cities you'd think it was a warzone. Town centers in decay, farming villages deserted, just complete economic devastation.

Hi I'm OP
And no, those aren't my posts.

Most cities in Europe aren't in the bad condition that most American cities are.

Houstonfag here, second this. Small towns are carcasses.

Im sure the braindead communist larper platitudes of some petit-bourgeois manchild with zero selfawareness from his comfy room and internet bill paid by his mum who got the time to waste on sucking up pseudointellectual books from people that archieved nothing in their life and just leeched of others, are much more insightfull than the opinion of somone who build a multibillion dollar IT empire from absolute scratch read not even internet available in the country of sweatshops.

Anti-communists make the best laughing stocks.

tell me more how people like Jack Ma keep lazy and dumb people like you poor

You seem upset, Jack.

(Вы)

lmao dude you got stocks in Alibaba or what

/r/ing some drawfag to remake this into the S.E.R.F. pledge

...

This, it's not just a matter of ruthlessness. It's also a matter of luck (i.e. being in a position to exploit the economy). Successful people giving advice on success are blind to the factors that filter out the people who tried but didn't make it.

"Sycophancy to the Employer is Rewarding Financially"?

He's not wrong if you imagine he's talking about achieving communist revolution instead of making money.

Seems like what Stirner said about the bourgeoisie not being purely egoistic, because they are slaves to the idea of money accumulation, is true.

I agree that what he did took hard work, and think there is a bit of a cult of shirking responsibility and the value of hard work, but it's also true that in addition to hard work he just got lucky.

Plenty of people work very hard and have nothing to show for it, that's a result of the capitalist mode of production. I'm a socialist who believes that hard work is the path to success, it always was and it always will be, and I want production to be organized in a way that rewards hard work.

Capitalism does not really do that. It sometimes does, sure, but that often comes down to luck.

Jack Ma doesn't seem to understand that plenty of people work very hard and still fail. He doesn't see that because, of course, he succeeded and he's the only person he can really know, but I think that's a failure of empathy and imagination on his part.

He said while having a three hour+ long heated debate on Holla Forums

Wew.

The best thing of this fuckers is that they always assume everybody wants to be a fucking billionaire or a useless celebrity.
"It's my fault" he says. Couldn't give less of a fuck. I've got my house, i've got my job, i've got food ont he fridge, i've got my internet connection, i've got my hobbies, my films, my books. What the fuck more do i need?
Stalin was absolutely right in sending those useless cunts like Jack Ma to the gulag.

That works, but I was thinking more along the lines of: 'Serfdom - Excellence for Royalty and Feudalism'.

11. I understand the world is not fair, and I'm OK with that. I do not resent the success of my liege.

...

Everywhere's a paradise if you're super fucking rich, you mong.

What is this from? They look so happy.

interview with david horowitz

youtube.com/watch?v=PM0I5k50XsY

i didn't say rich or or super fucking rich, you mong

You directly implied that things were great in the United States for people who had plenty of money.

Congratulations. That's how it is for everyone who have abundant finances.

You need to take a good look at this, and then your "I was pretending".

no, that was your assumption. america is good for people who have proper middle-class incomes; you don't have to be truly "rich" to take advantage of what america has

america has:
· low taxes; some states have no income tax
· lower living costs, cheaper consumer goods, compared to places like australia
· right to own weapons; up to and including suppressors and full-auto firearms; no limit on how many one may own
· right to carry weapons both concealed and openly
· right to defence of self and property
· right to own military equipment, such as lasers, body armour, night vision equipment
· strongest freedom of speech laws in the world
· voting is not compulsory
· globally-dominant currency
· huge variety of entertainment and leisure
· big houses, big cars, big land
· population that generally advocates individualism and votes against its own interests, keeping your taxes lower and your freedom greater

like i said, if you're poor, america sucks. but if you have a decent income (which most americans don't) it's a libertarian paradise. you have to go to highly corrupt, lawless countries, to find comparable levels of freedom

Have fun with your tax stamp, 1 year+ wait and having your name in a registry
Have fun paying thousands and tens of thousands of dollars for shit manufactured before 1986 + tax stamp or applying for a business/manufacturer license to get newer shit.
You can own these things in many other countries, only thing i can think of is some impose limits on laser wattage, so does the states as far as I'm concerned. Some places do ban some types of body armor but it's mostly freely available
Thats a thing in other western countries?
Doesn't most of the western world have this mentality?
Freedom to starve or get fucked in the ass, oh boy how fun.

Actually with some quick checking, the UK might be materially comparable with the USA.

numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_countries_result.jsp?country1=United States&country2=United Kingdom
Prices seem broadly lower.

gov.uk/income-tax-rates/current-rates-and-allowances
Income tax is 0% up to £11,500 [$14868] (unlike 10% from $0-9275 irs.com/articles/2016-federal-tax-rates-personal-exemptions-and-standard-deductions ) then 20% from £11,500 > £45,000 [$58180] (USA is 15% on $9275-37650 then 25% on $37650-58180)

Some lazy calculations run that you'd pay £6,698 [$8658] income tax in the UK vs $14,442 [£11168] in the USA including FICA.
HOWEVER the UK also has national insurance contributions, which bring the UK rate up to £11,118.52 [$14372] which is still slightly lower.

Which I'm honestly stunned by. Initially I thought I'd have to factor in health insurance costs to drive home the point that the American family was being screwed.

One can also own a weapon, subject to restrictions, although the practical need is greatly reduced by the fact even most criminals don't use weapons. (And despite the memes, the UK is no more violent: dispellingthemythukvsusguns.wordpress.com/ ) - that one has to repeat "I can own weapons and military stuff and shoot people" as 3 different points says a lot about America.

Dubious. (One ad-hoc example: Loli is technically illegal in many states, yet legal in Scotland, which is part of the UK.)
Nor in the UK or most countries. (Also, the UK's two party system is notionally less shit as minor parties have some more influence, so your vote might actually matter.)
Again, similar with the UK - with the £ always above the $.
Sadly the UK is colonised by as much Americana as you could desire.
Granted, although on the downside this also means that cars are mandatory living expenses, and that the houses are often plywood built garbage in Tornadoland. (Although the UK is in a huge housing bubble.)
This is a lie, though. They also push through legislation like the PATRIOT act and other NSA spying enabling garbage or greater police powers. Freedom from higher taxes if you're making well above average income? Yeah, sure. (The US tax-rate never hits the 40% rate for UK tax after £45k.) although the UK populace are pretty classcucked. [pic]

Even for the relatively well-off (£45k is well above UK average income, which is like £27k.) the USA is a mess. Maybe over $70-80k the benefits become unambiguous.

I'm still stunned at how competitive the UK is on income taxes + mandatory insurance. I'd have thought at the very least the US poor-ish would be benefiting from the lower rate of income tax, but our tax-free allowance for the poor basically wipes that out entirely.

Holy Fuck, you lefties are so retarded.
What the fuck is voluntarism?
You sound like a victim.

still better than outright illegality/forbiddenness
still better than outright illegality/forbiddenness
nowhere near as easily as in the u.s.
can still easily buy the same lasers and nods used by the military
lel. in australia, all body armour is forbidden and classified as a firearm. body armour is not a readily available commodity in most countries
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Compulsory_voting.svg
maybe, but most developed countries are more social democratic than america is, so it's sort of tempered
hence why i say it's good if you have money, not so much if you don't

I'll hold him down. You swing.

t. Holla Forums

yes, i don't know the exact numbers. but as far as i can tell, most middle class americans aren't fleeing to the u.k. for a better life
thus less freedom
'need' is not a factor relevant to gun ownership in the u.s.
yeah, it says that you can pursue that interest if you so choose. say, unlike me, here in australia
not remotely
>>chomsky.info/200506__/
gbp is nowhere near as universal as usd. this is not debatable
>>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_dollar

fuck off retard

If you're talking about laser pointers used on firearms, I'm sure most places have access to "military grade" lasers. I was talking about high wattage enthusiast grade lasers, ones that can permanently blind you. Having access to "military grade equipment" isn't anything special, optics, vests, body armor etc are very easily available and used by airsoft, paintball players, reenactors, collestors. Military surplus stores are a thing. Don't compare Australia's shitty laws to the rest of the world.

As for having suppressors and full autos, it's all fun and games but you have no idea how big of money sinks they can be, ammo isn't cheap, parts aren't cheap, all the equipment needed for them isn't cheap. Firearms in general can be very expensive, like any other hobby really.

Hey serious question though to you guys that I've wanted to answered by communists/socialists.
But first, my story

I was born in Venezuela and lived there till about 15. I am 25 living in the states now. When i left Venezuela Chavez had just begun his presidency. The subsequent nationalization of industries over the next 10 years coupled with an expansion of social programs( housing, food stamps, education) led to a full on socialist state. By 2010 it was safe to say that Venezuela had lost much of its privately owned business/industry. The expansion of the social programs led to higher taxation that was the killing blow to middle class, essentially forcing a reliance on the growing welfare state.
When the price of oil dropped almost 2 years ago now Venezuela lost a huge amount of its income used to pay for all of its programs. Because of this, the government has be unable to pay for its gargantuan nanny state, leading to power shortages, food shortages, crumbling infrastructure, high crime (Caracas is the murder capital of the world), and hyperinflation. Having to send boxes of food to the remaining family I have in Barquisimeto these days because of the lack of food. The continuation of chavismo under maduro has only deepened and exacerbated the situation in Venezuela, where many are starting to starve and lack basic services. Venezuela was pretty shit when I left and I can only imagine how shit it is now. But my question is why did socialism fail so hard in Venezuela - was it the failure of the government to adapt to the world oil price or is that the actual end goal of communism - to make everyone equally as poor and miserable while leadership and the military live like kings. That's some real class cuckery right there

Nor are most middle class Britons fleeing to America. People tend not to move and it tends not to be trivial to move regardless.

As though it's an essential freedom. Gun ownership isn't even an effective means of suicide.
Well that's great for you and that interest. Even most Americans don't exercise their right to bare arms. It's a meme. You might as well point out that you're never going to see a British Rail class 156 train in America - so Britain has the edge for trainspotters. (And railway commuters in general.)

That's a gross misrepresentation of what the Hutton report was. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hutton_Inquiry
Until copyright infringement is universally recognised as protected under the first amendment, you can shove it up your arse.
Universality has little effect. The GBP is stronger, Brits have the advantage when it comes to importing shit.
(The advantages it has in terms of government bond yields and so on for borrowing purposes basically has no impact on the living standards of the average American, since the American government isn't spending it on nice treats like free healthcare.)

And the thing is, my point isn't even to argue Britain is a nice place to live in - it's a shithole. The gobsmacking thing is that it's a cheaper shithole tax-wise even when you earn well above the average income, *and* it gives you more public services for your cash. To be "freer" in America you've got to earn ~thrice the average personal income and be a gun-nut who prefers certain types of "free" speech to others. (Want to call that man a nigger? Sure, go ahead, shoot him if he gets uppity. Want to look at those drawings? Haha buddy off to jail…)

it is if it's forbidden in your country
i'm not questioning that. the point is you at least have the choice
even if it's legal, the market for those things is much greater in america than in other countries. there's more of a demand and they're usually cheaper and easier to get

(addendum on Hutton.)
It's also worth noting that the BBC is a public service broadcaster held to strict standards of neutrality (on paper), the independent press can get away with any lies they want. (See Scotland, where nearly every newspaper loathes the incumbent devolved government.)

Though even in the 1970s the BBC were getting away with some pretty ropey shit. In aggregate the problem with the British press is that it's not kept on a shorter leash.

because most british are meme-addled antigun retards (like you), so there's no incentive to move
lol. you don't get to say what's essential to others. this is exactly why the 2nd amendment is important. fuck yourself
yeah, it is. that's what great about freedom; you can do what you want without having to ask permission from the state (for the most part, anyway)
ok
if someone threatens your physical safety, you have the right to protect yourself. i know that's difficult for wimpy eurotards to grasp
and yet the u.s. still produces more pornography than just about anywhere else, with greater availability. unlike u.k., which is trying to ban porn that features spanking and other "violent acts"

You hear that, serf? You swore fealty to your lord, feudalism is voluntary :^)

No it didn't.

In fact, Venezuela's system isn't all that different from the Norwegian system, if somewjhat more incompetently managed and facing a lot more imperialist aggression rather than benefiting from it.

Enjoy not having the freedom to look around the houses of parliament.
Then why does the US state get to say that access to healthcare without isn't essential?

oh no it's retarded

shock horror as world's largest economy produces large quantity of product.
(most of it's shit anyway, everyone knows Germans make the best stuff.)

not going to argue with an antigun europussy suckdem. make sure to bin that knife, mate

Return to Holla Forums

As your map shows, only one European country (Greece) is actually concerned by this. I live in Belgium and while there is a de jure compulsion to vote, authorities usually don't try really hard to enforce it.

Besides, all that compulsory voting entails is waiting in line for one or two hours every four years or so and then casting a vote that might as well be scratched or null. At the exception of my very first vote (which went to the obscure Belgian Communist Party), all my votes have been null. Not really anything to write home about.

this is a leftist board. fuck off liberal pussy

...

sometimes it really is Holla Forums doe

you're a liberal because you're a suckdem, you're afraid of guns, and you regard people who aren't afraid of guns as coming from Holla Forums. save a life, bin that knife

I'm not a socdem (I have a socdem background but I don't believe in reform), I'm not afraid of guns (I simply don't regard them as a necessity for the average middle class family while comparing living standards across countries, because that would be silly.), and I regard people who spout Holla Forums memes without context or nuance ("bin that knife! xD!!!") as coming from Holla Forums

keep missing the point

...

Holy shit by this completely valid list of things, it seems Britain wins on 10 counts of 10.

Literally first line.
(And the bitch was asking for it anyway. I did what I had to do.)

reminder that amerisharts aren't allowed to buy cheap chocolate eggs thanks to nanny-state interference

yes, as we all know, the average british can walk into one of their many local gun stores and quickly and affordably purchase semiauto rifles and pistols and ammunition with minimal government hassle and interference. they can then carry that gun on their person and potentially use it in self defence, or visit one of their many local ranges and shoot a few rounds at leisure

have you turned in your baseball bats yet, nigel?

Northern Irish can do so with greater ease than people in most states can. (NI being part of the UK.)
Indeed, they can even carry firearms openly.

And they still benefit from the lower taxes, complete absence of the need to buy health insurance separately, and all 10 of the aforementioned criteria.
Life's better in Norn Iron

Well then the USA fails due to the strict gun laws in - for example - California.

If you are still a virgin at 35, it's your fault…
