It's beginning. Get ready folks.

The next recession is merely months away.

What's the chance that people actually wake up, and not just regress to McFiefdom Inc.?

buckle up buckos

welp lets ride this fucker into the ground

t. Prophet Marx, 2000 BC

...

Serious question, I am pretty ignorant of economics right now. How much will this affect my country, which is already bleeding to death? I live in Venezuela, but in the case this situation gets extremely bad (as if it wasn't already), I will try to move to Colombia.

Marx said crisis was inherit to capitalism, not that it was unstable enough to just destroy itself. If anyone thinks this will do away with capitalism they are fucking delusional. It will just make it worse.

probably has a lot to do with the april numbers being so amazing

Man, we're so not ready for this. Right wing extremism is virulent, if we get hit now, it'll be the 30's all over again…

I mean, hooray, an opening for a revolution!

Things will be better for you I think. The crisis will mean a collapse in demand in the west, overproduction, and thus cheaper imports, which Venezuela could really use. Otoh, the oil price will crash too, so… yeah. I'm not sure how it could economically get worse for you guys than it already is though.

Now this is shitposting.

Unfortunately the communist movement is still in shambles all over the western countries.

Oil is already too cheap here but it can always get worse.

...

oy vey it's gonna be anudda shoah!

Hey asshat maybe produce evidence that SUPPORTS your thesis

I think the upcoming Fed rate hike will weaken porky and provide more openings for labor to make gains.

what did u expect?

labor force participation is the lowest it has been in 50 years so '4.3% unemployment' doesnt translate to 'stable worker effective demand'

All the statistics they feed you is complete bull.

They do not count the real unemployment rate which is likely around ~19% give or take. They only count recent unemployment filings every 6 months, with all previous statistics discarded (no matter how many remain unemployeed or not).

The census is the best statistic by far, but still not perfect.

DoL stats are full of shit. Both liberals and conservatives get conned. That is NOT the real unemployment rate.

This is the real statistic: 94,983,000 Americans Not in the Labor Force in May

Note that every presidency ignores the real statistics because "muh legacy, muh politics."

...

No, Marx said that capitalism would ultimately destroy itself. Not that any old crisis would do it, but that capitalism would bloat until it collapsed under its own weight.

...

That's up to the left.

Consider that a economic crash under the Trump administration and very Republican government is going to make the right look terrible.

Ah yes the revolution to replace Capitalism with more Capitalism.

...

...

trump is fucking garbage but poor whites remain thoroughly spooked and the non-Holla Forums left and the center have absolutely no desire to despook them with anything other than force, and if they do use force what we'll have will be a traditional sectarian/civil war, not a class war like we want

The accelerationist in me's jumping with joy, the guy that's got bills to pay's quietly weeping.

why would you want to count 65+ year olds, disableds, retards, or students as unemployed?

Yeah I wonder if some kind of huge generation of people are at retirement age right now lol

you're talking about long-term unemployment and that is mostly made up of seasonal workers who dont find work between seasons (i.e. students)

80.7% of Americans live in urban areas as of 2010.

The prominence of poor rural whites is highly exaggerated, mostly because the Republicans use them as useful idiots to stay in power.

In addition, these guys aren't good at anything but LARPing. Near where I live, they've tried to hold a KKK rally multiple times, but have fled with their tails in between their legs at the first sign of counter-protest.

you better vote trump 2020

the American electoral system is designed to make rural votes worth more, so it would be wrong to say that rural and small-town America are not prominent.

Accelerationism sees the unrest caused by crises as being undesirable, but the crises themselves a necessary method of pushing out old technologies en masse when the growth demands of the accelerating, run-away M-C-M' planning system are unable to be met.
Read a book or leave, ffs.

Absolutely retarded.

I'm pretty sure the qualification statistics use for "urban" is ridiculously general. Hell, I think the place where I live is considered urban, even though I can assure you it isn't.

Also, geography matters. Urban areas don't have much in terms of food and natural resources; those come from rural areas and offshore.

most of the thread seems to agree with President Trump on the worthlessness of the u3 unemployment rate

Think about it like throwing darts at an apple blindfolded, if you do it long enough (enough crises), you'll eventually hit it. Any probability over time become a certainty. The problem is whether climate change and nuclear war beat socialism to be the first to smash capitalism.

And of course the collapse of capitalism is economic crisis + action, of course it won't fall on its own, we must act.

Wew.

the user I responded to said that
I provided proof that Trump did and told him specifically to vote for trump in 2020 since he was willing to do what no one else before him has in a presidential capacity.

Don't remember telling a retard like you to do anything lol

When has President Trump and not Candidate Trump mentioned the real unemployment statistics?

one of the articles was from january 29 2017 so activate your almonds and try to remember when the election was

Most actual farmers are apolitical. They'll support whoever supports them. It's the bumblefuck white trash that are reactionary.

Both of the articles are talking about a quote of Trump from last year though. My point is when has Trump actually said anything about the real unemployment statistics since he gained the power do anything about it?

Is that 1st pic supposed to have a joke? What does the French Revolution has to do with storage?

Which line is the important one?

PDVSA is falling apart and producing less oil every day and revenue from oil is around 95% of Venezuela's revenue from exports.

So jobs actually missed but the big headline is the lowered unemployment rate. I'm guessing Trump won't still harp on about the BLS stats like he did under Obama, calling them fake, right?

Goddamn it I think maybe he has a point.

The only real reason Nazism is so reviled is because it failed so spectacularly. But what if WWII's end had been more contentious?

I don't think Nazism would be as rejected as it is today. Even where I do find it rejected it's more of a tribalism thing. They killed 40 millions Jews but Leopold killed like 60 million Africans but colonialism isn't as hated.

are you spreading misinformation or literally retarded?

Yeah, but that doesn't really mean anything during a revolution.

Makes me a bit fuzzy inside knowing that there are still comrades out there that like Medieval shit

Looks like an adjustment period, part time jobs may be the new norm in addition to u.b.i. After all, automation, ai etc. What will we all do? Eventually the machines will make themselves, and then we have the matrix.. Exciting times!

This graph shows how good war is for the economy
