Convince me that a socialized economy with private cooperatives at the small and medium level isn't the best way to implement socialism in the near future.

Using simulated markets and banning advertisements for consumer products is better. It allows the product to truly reflect their value.

I am no longer concerned with this question, it is the correct answer. However, how do you plan to get there? That is the real question

That sounds pefect user

"""capitalism""" at the small and medium level is beneficial. Cooperatives cannot compete with exploitative companies but in a socialist system where private property is abolished cooperatives would take a non-exploitative role in delivering local services like restaurants for example. Central bureocrats can't decide what's best for local needs. I'm interested in hearing your opinions tho. It's all open for discussion.

Abolishing the value form is the best way to implement socialism tbh

Get rid of banks, nacionalize all industries. Institute laws that force small-medium sized private businesses to move into the cooperative sector.

If you have this much political power at this point, why don't you just abolish markets and move on to a planned economy?

...

Explain to me how central planners could account for thousands of small and medium businesses

what I'm arguing for is basically Leninism

You can have decentralized planning but central ownership.

you're not even wikipedia-tier

How does that work? (I'm not criticizing this is a genuine question)

Everything is owned publicly (by the people) but management is delegated locally so for instance the miners manage the mine. The tension between labor and capital is replaced by tension between labor and users. That's where it should be, so conflict is reduced to people's needs vs. the labor required to meet them. I'm personally not in favor of centralized ownership, but centralized ownership and decentralized management is coherent. This would use a central government or similar structure. Personally, I think it would work better to just have it so that if the public is unhappy with how the miners mine, they can go be miners and change how the production process is managed.

Everyone with money won't want to pay for those without, tax them excessively and they leave, meaning you have no money with which to pay for the socialism. Then you have to gulag people for being pissed off at starving to death.

See all "attempts" at socialism.

holy shit you're so smart let me suck your nuts

Never thought about it that way

holy shit, a right libertarian just completely destroyed us with his enlightenment. GOOD PORKY, GOOD BANKS, GOOD JOB CREATORS, BAD COMMIES !!!

Oh my god. You just undid hundreds of years of political theory written by some of the most formidable minds to ever exist, and all with a short post on a Laotian woodprint IRC channel.
