Don't mind him that much, but he has said some things that have raised my eyebrow from time to time.
My only complaint about him is his accent. I can tolerate most accents, but he sounds like he just drank a glass of water and is holding it in his mouth while he speaks. I can practically feel the saliva assaulting my ears when I listen to him speak.

Anyone who hasn't realized that he is trying to make people think are brainlets. He doesn't care what people think about him, so he just says whatever he wants while trying to provoke as many as possible. Those calling him out for hyperbole are correct, yet miss the point entirely. This provocation is him saying that you should try to activate your brain for than just a second. Be open to self-criticism even if you think you have the moral high ground. I think his views on socialism make sense. He is for full communism and no in between bullshit that succdems and tankies advocate. He assumes the Hegelian-Marxist position of ruthless criticism of everything. It is very much in line with Marx's own definition of the communist movement. Don't worry too much about the structure of socialism, worry more about how to get rid of capitalism first. His focus on movies can be a little excessive at times.

Learn from the shitshow that was the first big attempt at a socialist revolution. They failed. Find out why they failed and what to do differently. From my perspective, it is exactly because they weren't able to get rid of all capitalist aspects that it turned into a shitshow, not because they didn't have a blueprint of a socialist society. It is a lot easier to think about how a socialist society would be run, than figuring out how to completely getting rid of the capitalist aspects of commodity production.
