Well yes, there were about 2 decades of last economic growth of course that is going to cause a lag effect by the fact that the economy would now be larger had it not been for Pinochet's policies. I mean that is pretty fucking obvious; lost growth is lost growth, especially when it is cause by domestic factors rather than international economic slumps, reduces future performance for a long time. Does not change the fact that when Pinochet was kicked out of power, by his own American puppet masters might I add, Chile boomed.
