Marches and protests are only useful as shows of force. You are sending a message to the government, "we have [x] people and we're ready to take action against you if you don't change your ways". They only work if they're actually backed up by some real threat of action. The government don't give a fuck if a million people want to go for a walk at the same time. They'll only start to care if they believe those million people might turn violent.

It's true but it's not so ancient. The greeks even thought alcohol made people wiser and better at socializing and business.

Alcohol is liquid ideology. It's basically designed to keep the plebs subdued and squibling with each other. There's a good reason that the state is cracking down on smoking for health reasons but won't even look at trying to solve the people's drinking problems - as far as the ruling classes are concerned it's no problem at all.

Personally I'm being a hypocrite because I drink as well. Drinking culture is so ubiquitous in the first world that it's difficult to do otherwise but that's just the way porky likes it.

Drinking in excess is obviously unhealthy and a way to cope with alienation which doesn't involve changing conditions, but it is certainly not bourgeois.

If a women is conscious, speaking coherently, remembers, and verbally consents I don't feel like I'm taking advantage of her. Idk if you've drank before but it isn't some magic potion that turns you into a different person.
This whole mindset is based on some weird and frankly sexist white knighting. People (including Women) can consent to sex when drunk, this is how a significant number of relationships start.
