Depending on the country you live in, you might be able to get access to bolt actions. I recommend the Savage 11 Scout. I just ordered one and it's a damn good rifle for the money. It's not a modern combat rifle, but it can do some limited roles.

I would have to agree on avoiding the mini-14 most of the production run has some small accuracy problems and the new run that fixed them is expensive. So avoid unless you find it for an absolute steal like I did.

Nice. A lot of people are quick to go for rifles and such, but a nice CC pistol is probably more important for 99% of guys. If you can CC, you should. I only take my gun off to sleep, at which point I break out my rifle, which is right next to my bed.

It's now discontinued, and it's a DAO long ass pull. Would be nice in a DAO revolver, but no excuse on a semi-auto handgun. I bought it for the wife, but she liked different things. It's my loaner gun now.

If you want a compact pistol, you can get the P320, but I recommend the shield like
has. They're good little guns. If you like hammer stuff, there's always CZ stuff, which are my favorite types of pistols. Currently have a 75 compact and a P-09. Make sure you get a nice pistol light. One shortcoming in my 75.

Get back and down on a knee. Like you're sitting down. It's almost impossible for them to leverage your entire weight, and once you pull that trigger, they'll either be shot, or will have let go, at which point you can keep shooting them. Works much better with a sling, but I've never found someone that can take a rifle from me like that.

Another thing you can do is jab them with the barrel, but if you can hit them with the barrel, you can shoot them.

That's been worked out. It was a simple misunderstanding and the company apologized. The rifles themselves are pretty good for the money. I personally don't own one, my buddy bought one and he's had no problems with it, though he has an older keymod style.

Practice with cheap steel cased ammo. If you're in a humid southern state, get lacquered ammo or it's going to rust if you look at it funny. Store all ammo in air tight cans with desiccant packets thrown in, you can get those from Amazon.

PSA was my second choice, so not far from what I suspected. I know about ammo, I actually have a case of M855A1, but I had to grease a few palms to get it, so not worth it. My current practice ammo is the Aguila 62 grain, but I've also had good luck with the Hornady steel match, those even come in 75 grain, which if stored correctly can be used for much more than practice.

Check it for cracks, especially at the valves. Should look like soft discs. One way to test it is to actually do a CS gas room, but you shouldn't do that to yourself just to test a mask. Just make sure it seals. Cover up the intake valve and blow out the air inside, then breathe in. You should not be able to take in any air. Remember when you don your mask you need to purge it like that, just let go of the intake valve when you're done purging it.

No cracks or anything and the mask collapses when I cover the inhale valve.
