good economic analysis of today's neoliberalism. too bad he doesn't practice any realpolitik, same as zizek in a sense

meme, is at useful to prime people into the left.

Why do neoliberals hate him?

He's great at explaining Marxist ideas to laymen especially for lazy fucks who would rather listen to a podcast or youtube than read.

I don't like markets.

Pretty cool guy. Kills the neoclassical analysis and don't afraid of anything.

Not everyone is a NEET with all the time in the world.

I barely have any free time and drive for my job, so I listen to a lot of podcasts and audiobooks.

needs to read more Hayek

He was a cunt and a stranger.

Or, you know, people with dyslexia or some other disorder that makes reading difficult.

One of the most based professors in America. I hope I can meet him some day.

Good at entryism and for a summary of economic news. I disagree with his solutions, though.

He has probably created more class conciousness than any of us will

kill urselves m8s

Good at economic analysis of the news, good at spreading class consciousness, his solutions are a bit shit, puts way too much faith in worker cooperatives alone to create political and economic change.

Not sure if he's just hiding his power level, some of the stuff he's said has made me think he might be a crypto-De Leonist.

Ultimately this is the truth and should be recognized by everyone here.

He is great at explaining Marxist ideas to anybody at any political/class level. Being accessible via video and audio is also extraordinarily helpful towards this end as most people (at least those that I've met) aren't ready to dive right into Das Kapital. They need the broader message easily accessible - and I think more than that, people (at least in the West) need to have the problems of capitalism clearly outlined and spelled out to them before they seek a solution to those problems. If you have someone in mind who you think is more accessible to the layperson with regard to explaining the faults of capitalism I would genuinely be interested - I usually direct people new to the notion that capitalism has failed (there's many more new people after Trump's election) to one of Wolff's videos on YouTube - Marxism 101: How Capitalism is Killing Itself with Dr. Richard Wolff

At only 35mins it is short enough to keep the attention span of most people. It's also soft enough that it doesn't necessarily outright trample someone's previously held notions of how the world works. If you have a better starter place for newcommies of any age, again, I would be genuinely curious as to where you would direct them.

Somebody needs to tell Richard to take a break when he's sick. I want him to live to see the revolution.

doesn't he believe socialism will be achieved through co-ops? dumb if true

I dont sense that. I think there is more to it but he wont reveal what he really thinks yett

I don't think he really believes socialism can be achieved through co-ops. However, the way he explains critiques of the USSR and PRC, I understand why he thinks changing organization of production would be a helpful foundation in overthrowing capitalism.

link to his criticisms of the USSR and PRC?

I've just seen this youtube.com/watch?v=sZhJ-74FcR8

Wolff is a burger, it's a miracle he can even call himself a Marxist economist without getting lynched. Whatever he really thinks, it's impossible to know.

I can't remember which ones it was, I think it was more on the soviets than china, but its in his Intro to Marxian Economics series. I know it's a lot to go through, so sorry I can't narrow it down more.
