I have the same opinion as minimum definition of intelligence but switch I and III. Not surprised really

What's with the Chans obsession with rating things? I see people rating the stupidest and most mundane shit. Is it a meme or what

III > R1 > VII > VI > II > V > IV

Is the correct opinion of somebody who is under 30 who is not a nerd and holds no attachment to this retarded series judging them purely on action and special effects who watched these fucking movies at one point or another because all the normalfaggots love them for some weird reason

R1 was better than FA though

Every Star Wars movie < other nostalgic 80s franchises (Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, etc) < films that weren't made to sell toys

Anyone who thinks VII is better than any of the original trilogy is retarded. That's all I have to say about this.

Isn't hbomb an "I like the prequels" guy tho?

Sam Kriss seems to do the same, but his reasoning seems to be that it shows that the Jedi were always shit.

only if you're an autistic faggot.
you can finally (not) take star wars seriously.

it's like watching someone who was just diagnosed with cancer.

The entire franchise is full of ideology
I understand Lucas tried to combine sci-fi and fantasy, but it's still fucking stupid

I don't see how autism is what would give me a more normie opinion on star wars. Casual audiences liked R1 better because it didn't require you to have an autistic obsession with prior entries to enjoy it.

Was back to the future made to sell toys?

*moon-sized

I watched star wars for the first time when I was a kid in the order of the movies from I to VI. I almost fell asleep and could barely follow I-III, but when IV started I was completely captivated. The original trilogy simply has much more soul and better story overall, almost like a folktale in space.

Rogue One and VII was mediocre but not boring like I-III.

5 and 6 are literally just one movie that got split in half. They're practically indistinguishable to all but the most autistic fans.

I < II < III < VII < R1 < VI < V < IV

Well this thread is for autists to display their lack of self-awareness and call having a more casual outlook on mediocre sci-fi movies the more autistic option

The entire movie is nothing but fanservice and references to the past movies. People with autism like it because they don't have empathy or care about characters and story, and start crying every time they see darth vader or an AT AT walker. Didn't you love that sceen with ponda babo and when C3PO said something?

...

Nothing, you autist.

Also,
IV > V > VI > VII > the rest

if 5 and 6 were intended to be one movie, they wouldn't have completely scrapped luke completing his training with Yoda in 6, Force Ghost Ben wouldn't need to be there giving exposition, and the main characters wouldn't have gone on that pointless heist mission to Jabba's palace. if the rebellion wanted Han back, they would've just sent some of their 10,000 ships to Tatoine and demanded him back with some gunboat diplomacy, not a multiple phase plan that takes weeks. totally a big break from V.

Pretty much. People are desperate to like 7 because the prequels were bad and it had been so long since a good Star Wars movie.

7 was not terrible, but it was not very good either.

I honestly have no clue what you're talking about all I know is that the plot of 5 leads directly into 6 and that they have a very similar style and feel. But since you seem to care far more about this than I do I'll just take your word for it.

My opinion is the same as the alt-right group. Prequel movies and VII are complete shit.

None of them were good because they all ignore the canon that the sith were the good guys trying to build an army to stand against the coming red menace, but instead the jewdi allies ruined everything and doomed the galaxy

I could do without the second half of ep 6.

It was hard to watch when I was a kid and it's painful to watch now.

First half is golden.

V > III > IV > R1 > VI > II > I > VII

TFA was hot garbage and you all know it.

JEDI MIND TRICK DOESNT WORK THAT WAY REEEEEEE!!!!

There's no fucking way you REEEEE'd at the shit in VII but thought midichlorians was more bearable

Daily reminder that the Force is literally oppressive and no one should enjoy watching fictional characters "serve" it, carry out its will, or even use it.

Ah fuck off, it was a neat movie. I wouldn't have touched it if it hadn't "star wars" in the title, but don't even pretend.

Besides, after the prequels shitshow even The Room would look good.

also
dude.

objectively true

FA was the safest movie they could make

Socialist: Disney is bourgs

Alt right: Star Wars is SJW propaganda due to female protagonists and diversity

Normie: Episode III is awesome!

SJW: *vehemently ships Finn and Poe*

V > VI > IV > R1 >III > I > II > VII
Prequels were shit Lucas and didn't really add anything and VII was a remake of IV with a shittier Darth Vader. JJ Abrams is a shit director without an original idea. Judging politics by taste in movies is stupid anyways, just shit on them or enjoy them for what they are, cheap entertainment designed to dazzle with special effects.

Star Wars is liberal as fuck. Seriously though how are the jedi supposed to be the good guys when all they do is support the republic, which sucks.

the one where Vader severs Luke's hand > the one where the Death Star blows up > the one with the forest gremlins

it's true, Execs consider making a good movie a very safe move.

i think is wrong to rate them one by one, it should be trilogys entirely
obviously the best is the original, but the second trilogy is not that bad, the idea that the sith emperor was from the begining manipulating everything and that they turn from a republic to an empire its pretty neat, kinda like rome. the second trilogy Is not that bad except for the acting
the last couple of movies are bland, netflix level bland, and the new vader kid looks like mclovin. They are unnecesary movies through and through, the action scenes are good but the characters are dead inside and theres literally no story, but its not even halfway so you never know

I like the ideas of the prequel trilogy, but they fail in their execution. In the right hands they could have served as a cautionary tale of bourgeois democracy inevitably falling to fascism.

You could say the same thing about every infantile bourgie political drama out there. The problem is that they usually avoid indicting the system for creating the fascists and instead opt for individualizing it and blaming the fall of their great democracy/republic/etc on corrupt or evil individuals who only act out because their mommy/daddy issues (Voldemort, Anakin) or because they were always evil (Palpatine, Sauron.)

You're not wrong, but I feel like the prequels were just on the cusp of indicting the system. They showed how capitalist interests from the Trade Federation and the uselessness of the Galactic Senate lead to the rise of the Empire. Palpatine didn't just seize power, but was granted it by the Senate.

the SJW is the only reasonable one here

What does this make me?

II < I < VII < III < VI < IV < V

Didn't watch R1

VII

The most Cancerous post of all time.
Kindly refrain from posting anything else until you've learned something about movies. everything is wrong with the Prequels, including anakin, but not because his actors were bad, his actors did a fine job and you're an idiot if you're unable to tell whether it's the writing or the performance.
Rey isn't a mary sue, and if you can't understand the "world building" in Episode 7, you are clinically retarded.

youtube.com/watch?v=4iqN68PejEc

Star Wars is silly and childish.

VII is okay in its own right but shitting all over everything accomplished in the original trilogy means it still managed to make the franchise as a whole worse.

autism

You are trying way too hard to be an edgy contrarian lmao

V is the best movie in the franchise and if you haven't figured it out yet you're an idiot.

No u

IV is best because it can stand on its own.

...

...

jesus christ, do you write for cinema sins?
I don't recall rey ever flying a fighter, although she did fly the Falcon. while she is flying the Falcon, she says she's flown ships before, so she does have experience
She is no better shot than any other main character
she is able to fix the millenium falcon because she maintained it for her boss for years, Han isn't the most knowledgable about his own ship, and the problem she attends to was caused by modification done after Han lost possession of it
she defeats Kylo in battle after he had been shot with the bolt caster and fought with Finn, in a battle where Kylo isn't attempting to kill her.

your complaints about the first order not being like something they aren't isn't even worth responding to.

KOTOR2 > Republic Commando > everything else is dogshit

I don't recall her ever saying she had flight experience in the movie. And the Falcon hadn't even been powered on the entire time it was there. She comes out on top in every shootout, and the fact that she can even shoot on par with the other characters (all experienced soldiers) is ridiculous. Her fighting Kylo (heck, her handling a lightsaber AT ALL without training) is absurd, Finn not being instantly stomped in melee by a force user is just the cherry on top.

Oh, and one more point. The actress for Rey, her performance was nearly as autistic and dull as Anakin, with mouth-full-of-marbles diction and vague accent, and her face is lumpy and unappealing, not even ugly, just really average. She looks and sounds like somebody they just grabbed off the street.

"Han isn't the most knowledgeable about his own ship", really, REALLY?

Everything I said about the First Order is prominently shown in the film, in particular there's lengthy scenes about their conscription process, and all of their equipment are new designs that didn't appear in the original trilogy. Their tactics are also those of a conquering empire rather than secret paramilitaries, which make the "b-b-but calling the good guys 'The Resistance' after they won the war totally isn't thoughtless copy-pasting, see, here's a nonsensical backstory!" excuse completely indefensible, they just didn't care.

>No TFU
Everything else about Republic Commando was cool, but the game itself played like all the problems of every rote "next gen" consoleshit FPS rolled in one.

R1>IV>V>VII>VI>III>I>II

Wait how is liking The Phantom Menace the most SJW? That movie is unpc as fuck.

I still remember the clickbait middlebrow thinkpieces about how Jar-Jar and Watto were "racist caricatures" after the film came out, at least it was too early for the bitching about how Jedi mysticism is cultural appropriation.

Absolutely nothing whatsoever.

That being said: OT is clearly superior to everything else, and that even goes for ROTJ. The ewoks were worth it for the scenes with Sheev alone - it's some of the best shit the Star Wars franchise has ever produced.

The prequels had obvious, crippling problems, but at least they tried to build a new universe and do something original. They failed, but at least they tried.

TFA otoh, is just a steaming pile of didn't even try mediocrity. The only saving grace was Kylo Ren and the fact that it was pretty fun. The rest of it was all just recycling old shit, and not doing it well. Another Death Star? Another Empire? But different names, sweet. And two protagonists that start out interesting, and then turn into boring standard action hero pap cardboard cutouts.

That leaves RO. The best and worst you can say of it is that it is the first big budget Star Wars fanfic.

sage because not politics

Woops user, let me fix that for you
>Every Star Wars movie < other nostalgic 80s franchises (Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, etc) < films that weren't made to sell toys < Tokusatsu explicitly made to sell as many toys to young japanese children as possible

I was a kid when I watched that but it is pretty stupid but still not as stupid as a random desert hobo doing a Jedi mind trick on her first try.

The only thing Ep 1 had going for it was the Pod Race and Darth Maul. Clone troopers, Kamino, Christopher Lee, Jango Fett, ect were all much better.

many moons ago power rankings were the go-to trolling option because whatever you put down as the "official" power ranking is going to upset some autist whose angry rebuttal will in turn generate a cascade of butthurt replies

it's fucking fish in a barrel

Star Wars is pure shit and doesn't compare to even the worst sci-fi literature. It is just dumb fantasy dressed up in a bit of technobabble.

Well, someone needs to tell you that my waifu is better than yours. It isn't even a subjective opinion. It's just fact.

good thing it's not scifi and never claimed to be then

the whole series bores me to hell. What am I?

not an argument. She says it whether you recall it or not.
right, it was only powered on part of the time
until she's captured by Kylo? yeah, I guess we didn't get a movie where she dies in the middle of it. She's not like Farmboy luke who is able to pull off a spec ops mission easily
yeah, you had to wait about a minute before Kylo cuts his spine out. sorry that ruined your πŸ€πŸ€πŸ€head-canonπŸ€πŸ€πŸ€
and Boyega is the ugliest mainstream actor in a long time, but it looks like Rey wasn't cast to be waifu trash
Anakin's performance was fine, it's the the script that fucked him over.

it's not his own ship, it's Lando's ship, and he certainly he isn't knowledgable about modifications made after he lost possession of it, but even in the OT Han doesn't know everything. C3PO has to tell him that he needs to replace the negative power coupling, which makes him embaressed.

no it wasn't. for example, the fact that the first order should have the industrial capabilities to make new models of equipment (Like hip fire blaster that has white on it this time, or a helmet that's slightly more curvey) is completely out of your ass. the fall of the Roman Empire took 300 years. meanwhile the 69 million planet empire is still relevent 20 years later. go figure.

just kill yourself now

StarWars without Lucas isn't StarWars.

What I am if I like R1
