Nothing really different, although that's probably because I live in a well-to-do bourgeois household. Workers, I'd imagine, are getting shafted much more now. That's not unique to trump though, but it has gotten worse.

trump pissed of the democrats and the alt right. people are getting reel mad. there are marches for everything now, we had a march for science a few days ago. His approval ratings are at 43%, I guess people (republicans?) are still optimistic.
all this shit is creating lots of class consciousness, so maybe accelerationists were right….

It's like having a 14 year old as president

It was funny at first but it's pretty exhausting.

I believe there's a bright side in everything. Trump's presidency is radicalizing tons of people, and energizing the left. Just take a look at how terrified Fox News is of DSA's rising numbers.

It's an odd disconnect, nothing really changed for me or the community I live in; I imagine immigrants are having a tough time but I still see many hispanics walking around without fear, undaunted. It doesn't feel like Nazi Germany like many liberals have been proclaiming but it certainly does feel eeiry. Almost no one feels confidence in Trumps vision of the future and Trump basically curb-stomped much of what was left of the optimistic liberals.

Hard to say, nothing has happened for the working class, wages are still shit but unemployment has declined somewhat none of that has anything to do with Trump tho. The media keeps telling us not to rock the boat or what little recovery we've had could come apart, its like Keynesian "full-employment" with stagnant wages. I've also heard 95% of new jobs creates are part-time, low wage, low/no benefits. Hell thats the only kind of job I can get rn

The part time jobs thing is because once you hit 40 hours a week your employer will be forced into covering your health insurance. One of Barry's good moves, but pointless because an employer can make you work 39 hours a week part time and avoid the law.

Literally no different. Stop engaging in the Political Spectacle.

I hate that piece of shit Brit. My parents are the kind of boring Republicans that think they're better than other republicans because they only watch Fox Business, not Fox News proper and he's always on there with their token black guy shitting on workers.

this post make me happy

OP, it's the same ol shit as it's ever been.

Not different at all. Wages are still shit, yet employers continue to demand more from emplyees. I doubt he'll even accomplish 10% of his campaign platform and has already reversed on the things he was right about. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

he has a pretty high approval rating of people that voted for him. some of his actions have even had cross-party approval/

Accelerationism has, thanks to Trump, been largely vindicated now. Who would have guess that the socdems and Trots were lying to us about how bad it was this entire time?

Nothing's changed yet for your average American. I'm almost optimistic. Bernie Sanders is the most popular politician in the country and the media feels the need to run scare stories about socialism. But the DSA and the rest of the socialists are definitely not ready yet for any kind of militant resistance or taking power anywhere other than city council. Many also think they can "take back" the Dems and just don't realize they never were on our side or ever will be.

So far the only changes are a more aggressive attitude toward foreign policy and immigration which is expected with a Republican administration. In a few years it's quite possible we will be really fucked though. The Republicans are going to deal the final blow to unions and wipe away whats left of the New Deal. We're going to get an even worse version of Obamacare. We're seeing massive tax cuts and deregulation. There's going to be more of a military buildup and likely another retarded war. The government is going to pretend like global warming isn't real. Republicans will control the Supreme Court. Education's going be even more fucked.

I think it's clear we're going to see a series of crises sometime soon. Hopefully the left can get it's shit together and seize the opportunity.

On paper our easy access to guns and upcoming national disaster seems like a recipe for revolution but we need an organization, a program and leadership. Without all that we are fucked.

man being a latin american never felt this good. the schadenfreude is out of this world

So I take it you arent looking forward to Loyalty Day?

He's so unaccomplished I forget he's president sometimes.

approval rating means less than nothing.

From what I can gather this is Trump's thought process in policy correct my mistakes please.
Or if it only requires EOs

It's literally just like Obama, pure mediocrity, but weed and liquor are legal in my state so it's fine.

The important thing is they're not scared of the word socialist and they're a part of a socialist organization. They're ripe for further education. My local DSA chapter started a Marx reading group, so I'm optimistic.

Biochem phd student here. Cut to research funding is going to hurt a lot of labs, but my lab is lucky enough to have enough funding to survive any cuts. That's about all that's different in my life.

so, like having Holla Forums as president?
