When will capitalism finally collapse?

When will capitalism finally collapse?

Before the end of the century IMO.

Not before it destroys the world.

Peak oil my nigga. Look out for that peak oil.

Two things are required for capitalism to end: the right material conditions and the right movement to take advantage of them. Revolutions are spontaneous, but that doesn't mean they should be leaderless.

I was wrong about it in the past but can say with confidence that we'll see it collapse in about two days

once we've done enough LARPing and convinced people that the Soviet Union was the best thing ever and we should support the DPRK in its fight against western imperialism

once we've sold enough newspapers and infiltrated enough socdem parties

this

when all proprietary software has been destroyed

Automation and robotics will be the death of it. What comes next is up to us.

When the new system has developed enough to supersede capitalism. Every collapse before that point, no matter how big, will either lead to capitalism rebuilding itself or extinction.

I couldn't say when that point will be, but if the Left stays as messianic, cultish, and retarded as it is now I fear we might never reach it. If we get our act together and join the based comrades in the cybernetics thread ( )? There's no telling how much sooner we might get there.

Revolutions also need somewhere to go if they aren't just going to tail capitalism for a while before shedding any pretences of socialism. You know, like they all did in the 20th century.

Fuck off idiot. Automation will only proceed until the rate of profit falls far enough to generate another crisis. Capitalism would destroy itself and start over before even considering full automation.

This.

In all fairness, I am far more frightened, not by capitalisms ability to continually cause chaos or economic upheaval, but by it's ability to then profit and recreate itself in spite of the crisis.

That and it's ability to coopt or dilute ideological sentiment that would otherwise be better directed towards revolutionary objectives.

Never.

Capitalism is not a monolithic entity, that technological advancement is fucking over the finance industry is an example of contradiction in the system, not an exception to it. The demand for full automation is highly lucrative to individual enterprises, even if it will eventually spell death for the entire economy.

EXCESS CARBON GET OUT
PHYSICAL REMOVAL
=REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE==

How? When robots gain consciousness will they declare themselves the new proletarian revolutionaries and remove the human bourgeois scum?

...

this. rulers will just use violence to keep it in place. if it still collapses they'll just use violence to enforce something that emulates capitalism. or just implement something worse

DUDE MUH WEATHER

who cares

if socialism means a significant drop in technological advancement because muh trees then im no socialist

You're a fucking moron. Good riddance.

ur a dumb hippie

Have fun dying moron

More like a push for better technology when knowledge is free for all.

??? why wait

they arent mutually exclusive

2148.

When people stop needing things that they don't have.

Food will collapse when people don't need to eat anymore.

Sight will collapse when people no longer have a requirement to see things.

Ground will collapse when we no longer need to walk on it with our feet.

Atoms will collapse when we no longer need electrons to bind them together.

We could have technological advances with a communist society and adecuate planning. The very fact that faggots like you fail to realize this simple truth, is the reason we'll need a catalistic colapse before we enter communism.

Don't blame us hippies, because a starving society and natural disasters are the future you choose.

never

I didn't say socialism and push for better tech are mutually exclusive. I say socialism will likely bring a push for better tech.

every revolution seems unlikely 5 minutes before and inevitable 5 minutes later

"Any day now"
t. Marx

Reminds me of the european nobility during feudalism, 'surely this will last forever, muh droit divin'

This. It will be necessary for capitalists to embrace full automation in order to compete in the marketplace, even if it ultimately spells doom for the whole capitalist system. It's just like how they continue to create pollution despite the disastrous long term consequences for the planet. Capitalism can only think as long-term as shareholders, and shareholders tend to think on very short timescales.

………………..what

All im saying is: i dont care if communism is green or not

It will have to be or we'll all literally die

you're exaggerating

when you run out of capital?
