he was absolutely right
get cucked leftists, Holla Forums was right again kek

I don't find this to be the case at all. Not because leftists don't feel this, but that these are common feelings I see in a lot of people living under capitalism. It isn't unique to people with a leftist perspective. Leftists are just more aware of the connection between these feelings and their relationship to capitalism.

This.

Also many leftist are actually pretty positive people as they necessarily believe in human good but deal with living under capitalism with massive cynicism. Kacznski is just projecting his own positions. Ofc internet leftism is full of depressed, mentally ill lifestylists. That got to leftism by being socially alienated and reading.

got em

Replace leftism with rightism in this and you have a text that makes just as much sense.

It's very clear if you read the entire book that when he talks about leftists and leftism he's actually referring to liberals and liberalism. He makes the mistake of conflating the two, like many other people, and even mentions that this description probably doesn't apply to early 20th century Socialists and their ilk.

That explains why the right is doing so well right now, because everyone is happy except us.

Leftypol knows they are oppressed and hate it while pol doesnt understand it is oppressed and embrace it. Pol literally wants to be cucked and leftypol is trying to fight back.

This

If someone wants any kind political change, than that intention was definetily fueled by a dissatisfaction caused by current state of things. Because of this, it's really easy to denounce anyone who is in some way against the status quo by saying they are projecting their """"""""personal"""""""" pronlems on the system.

I think all problems comes from industrial Revolution. No matter where you are one the political spectrum things are shit and are just going to get shittier

Nobody as it good

This

I've dealt with ancaps while I was on the right. They are hysterical. If they run out of arguments, they just flex how smart they are and how dumb you are. It's a lot of projection. It's the same problem many liberals (not leftists) have. That they believe that they hold vast knowledge and wish to use it to belittle others. It's like overcompensating for their inferiority.

My greatest pet peeve is smugness, and insincerity. It grinds my gears when people are not serious about their convictions and use it as a way to "trigger" others or to be seen as edgy, rather than having beliefs because you see it as a benefit for mankind.

Wew ted

all of those things could be used to describe Holla Forums. sweeping generalizations such as this are usually bullshit

This is retarded. Conditions were far worse for the majority of people under feudalism. Unless of course you're a fan of massive numbers people dying from famine and disease.

...

Holla Forums is already cucked by reddit.

120. Efforts to make room for a sense of purpose and for autonomy within the system are no better than a joke. For example, one company, instead of having each of its employees assemble only one section of a catalogue, had each assemble a whole catalogue, and this was supposed to give them a sense of purpose and achievement. Some companies have tried to give their employees more autonomy in their work, but for practical reasons this usually can be done only to a very limited extent, and in any case employees are never given autonomy as to ultimate goals—their “autonomous” efforts can never be directed toward goals that they select personally, but only toward their employer’s goals, such as the survival and growth of the company. Any company would soon go out of business if it permitted its employees to act otherwise. Similarly, in any enterprise within a socialist system, workers must direct their efforts toward the goals of the enterprise, otherwise the enterprise will not serve its purpose as part of the system. Once again, for purely technical reasons it is not possible for most individuals or small groups to have much autonomy in industrial society. Even the small-business owner commonly has only limited autonomy. Apart from the necessity of government regulation, he is restricted by the fact that he must fit into the economic system and conform to its requirements. For instance, when someone develops a new technology, the small-business person often has to use that technology whether he wants to or not, in order to remain competitive.

What did he mean by this?

Sounds like Marx's theory of alienation

I've been wondering ever since I finished ISTF whether the problems he mentions are truly inherently indicative of industrialism or a problem of historical and present industrialism (Capitalism).

Much like how he erroneously conflates liberalism with leftism, does he also conflate Capitalism with industrialism?

this is the same thing "leftist have feelings of inferiority" ,etc
both are true
both are shit

this was a reply too

Unabomber is just a meme.

he was correct about a lot

pretty smart, even if you don't agree with him you have to admit that

havent read it but someone on lit said The Technological Soceity by Ellul was the good parts of istf but better. idk try that

...

The Alt-Right confirmed for leftists!

our we all have it shit under capitalism/or after the industrial revolution

This.

READ THE FINE PRINT
Equivocation is bad

A lot of leftists do have this problem, though, and we should be aware of it and combat it actively.

That's a common capitalist lie. You know that the average laborer under Feudalism was only expected to work 3-6 months out of the year? Also most communal disputes and justice were handled by communal tribunal of the laborers themselves without political interference. Air quality was very good and leisure opportunities were abundant. It wasn't heaven on earth, but the idea that quality of life has increased under capitalism is a lie. Really the main areas of improvement have been in health, life expectancy, and comforts like heating and air conditioning, but day to day life is not necessarily better for the average laborer than it was under feudalism. Day to day life is a cubicle for 12 hours every day for 40 years.

wow you sure told us

go play with yourself somewhere else Putinjugend

Read the full text, he's clearly describing what we today call SJW. He lumps socialists in with them but all his points are about idpol.

Also,

This could easily be a post on Holla Forums.

Yes, but he forgot "they project everything and always label first, so the opposition looks like a 'nuh-uh you are' loser."

...

so he made the same mistake as many people make today ?

Doesn't he basically come away advocating anarcho-primitivism?

What's ISTF?

Yeah, but he rambles about a lot of other interesting stuff too.

Fun fact:
He was caught through a peculiar idiosyncrasy of his.
Instead of using the idiom "have your cake and eat it, too" he would express it reversed and say "eat your cake and have it, too." His brother recognized that quirk in a public letter and turned him in.

I always remember that because I never understood that idiom until I read it the way he expressed it.

theanarchistlibrary.org/library/ted-kaczynski-the-truth-about-primitive-life-a-critique-of-anarchoprimitivism

no, more like just primitivism

Wow this dude isn't very persuasive…

thanks dawgs

Marx said shame was a revolutionary feeling.

TBH if you don't feel a little guilt and self hatred you aren't really grown up cos you've never fucked anyone over enough to feel guilty about it and hate yourself /never taken a big enough risk to fuck yourself over and feel guilt and hate yourself about it.

Basically you are resting your lorrels and not pushing the boundaries if you don't have a little remorse about your past. Unless your remorse revolves around a lack of activity. In which case same rules apply really.

Its perfectly healthy. It reminds you not to be an asshole in the present.

autonomy is not compatible with value-production. Marx knew this too, and that's why he said in the German Ideology (I paraphrase) that communism would be the end of all that exists outside of/independently of individuals.

And what's more is that there are spectacular/recuperative movements that pay lip service to autonomy, and integrate limited autonomy into cybernetic systems of control. but the contradiction will still develop between the individual and its alienation

resting on your laurels*

I meant ISF: Industrial Society and its Future.

The essay is a critique of anarcho-primitivists and their idealism and ignorance. No where does he say that what they want is actually bad, just not how hunter-gatherers lived. In ISF he doesn't talk about primitivism, it's expressly about technology and industrialism and its effects.

He's mistaking liberalism for leftism.

no shit
you are just repating what everuone else have already said
