He's right though, I've pretty much given up browsing here because of all the fucking whining.

It's time for a serious leader to organize the left. I don't believe that anyone has stepped up to lead the cause yet.

It could be you. You could take the initiative and start organizing in your community. You could take the serious and direct action to improve the lives of the working class where you live. You could be the person that so many look up to and thank for their new, happy lives.

You could also be one of many. You could be a part of a group that relies on each other and includes everyone. When you look back on the work you have done, you would not only be proud of yourself but thankful for everyone that helped along the way.

It's not time to die, yet. You have so much potential inside of you. We need you, your community needs you, the working class of the world needs you.

This isn't a fucking self-development department though. If you want "active", "positive" normies don't go on a fucking imageboard.
People who constantly whine about people who whine are "frankly" even worse. Let people say what they want to say, if you have to whine about it you're not better.

the only thing you have to do as a leftist today is just to read the relevant literature and agitate/argue for it.

I think this is critical to the development of the left, but I also think that it is important to organize communities to mitigate damage, empower the weak, and improve lives.

Since that things like globalization, decay of state power, commodification of everything that is pure, censorship, international treaties like CETA, TPP and so on are pretty much inevitable, the logical thing is not merely mitigating damage, which is more like pouring water out of a sinking ship and therefore only useful for buying time, but actually trying to build something that could get strengthened by power of capital. And so far I don't see any tool of the left that doesn't get raped capitalist forces.

The left needs kindness and cooperation within its own group in order to build a strong front against capitalists. We don't have money, we don't have nukes, we don't have much power. But we do have friendship.

There's a difference between being depressed and using the last sane place for leftist discussion on the internet as a therapy group. I don't mind the odd thread but there were three nearly exactly like this thread on the front page at one point today.

Tbh I'm still salty from the global warming/methane bubble thread. Never seen so many people hell bent on being fucking mopey. I'm not particularly bitching about OP but the number of threads like this and their propensity for the mood to spill out into other threads.

this has been discussed to some length already, the consensus is that Holla Forumsyp psyops make up a lesser part of the shitposts but are most critical to spreading and encouraging it.

While there are pretty big obstacles and ideological blocks, I believe making a competitive company is a viable way to improve your community and mitigate damage from capitalists. I might be wrong, but the Wolffman argues for this but suggests co-ops.

The tech sector I think is still pretty open for this. Learn to code, gather some like-minded friends and work together. When you get big enough to hire other people, switch to a co-op format, some sort of democratic workplace, or just give them really nice rights and pay.

That particularly is my dream that I am working on, I think you can do it too!

That being said, I'm definitely not a sage of leftypol. I'm not that smart.

But, I post sincerely and I believe in the left.

This isn't actually a bad idea. Get rich and then work on chipping away at the base of capitalism. AI research is one way to do this.

I'd say it's more complicated, the most powerful capitalists are those who are working at the international scale, which is why we see erosion of state power and as I see it, we're slowly heading towards ancapistan lite with cappies slowly approaching the level of themselves becoming the State.

That's all true, but the thing is they are completely incapable of preventing capitalism from eating itself alive. If anything it's even easier for an ancap society to become communist than a traditionally governed state. The ancaps won't even try to slow down the rate of technological progress because it will always be more profitable to pursue it.

Without hope the left has no reason to fight. We need something to drive us to reach our goals, a reason or a vision, a blue print… people are hungry for change but they feel lost. Not knowing to go.

Holy shit this thread it's depressing if you live in the west your life is probably awesome will probably get better socialism is more popular with young people now than ever before. Your life is incrementally improving all the time technology, science, human knowledge. 20 years ago nothing like this would have existed.

People with surplus time (not necessarily leisure time - lots of jobs require people to be clocked in while doing nothing) gives people time to think about things that their predecessors didn't have. It's hard to get depressed when the labor you do that puts food in your mouth requires your full attention.
