What do you guys think of the Red Party or "Rødt" in Norway? I'm hoping they get enough votes to get a seat in parliament, but I'm not sure how legit they are.

care to translate user?

No idea what he's saying. I'm a white American, but I'm sort of learning Norwegian with Duolingo. I'm hoping to live there some day, I guess I'm like a Weaboo but for Norway.

how do you plan on going?

Why would you want to go to a country as americanized as Norway? It'd just be a light version of what you have home.

its different but not to different
he could fit in

I want to get my master's there after I get my bachelor's here. Master's courses are the only class they have in English there.
I think the whole country is neat. It'd be a big culture shock but I'm doing my research and planning to go on vacation there to check it out first.

Seeing this post was really weird for me, since I have a really tankie ML little brother who considers himself a "Noraboo." In fact, that's what my comrades and I call him. I know little about it myself, being a Finnaboo, but, he personally seems to not be a fan of it, much preferring the much more pro-USSR and pro-Stalin party in Norway that seems to resemble the KTP in Finland.

Hay, Brit living in Norge here. Just a heads up there are one year courses at Norwegian universities and high schools in Norwegian language and culture. They are one year intensive courses aimed at foreigners who plan on studying in Norway. If you can save up/afford them they are supposed to be excellent. The course fees are very low, just a few hundred dollars per semester so paying for food and accomodation is the only major concern. Here's an example: usn.no/academics/find-courses/language-culture-and-history/1-year-programme-in-norwegian-language-and-civilization-for-foreign-students/

Also if you're a leftist Noraboo who plans on visiting, check out blitzhuset when you are in Oslo. Nice people, and the cheapest food you'll find in the city. blitz.no

More than enough ugly girls too.

No, you got it right the first time.

And that's fucking retarded.

Moxnes is somewhat charismatic and Rødt has a politically smart use of words in their programme. What makes me unsure of them is that they seem to think they can play the bourgeois political system towards a peaceful revolution. Again, politically smart within the framework of bourgeois politics, but but in the long run workers can't win peacefully against armed bourgeois lackeys. What would be an ideal scenario is that Red an parties like it gain pooularity and start getting things done, and get violently shut down by the elite, ooening peoole's eyes to the inevitability of a violent fight for true freedom.

...

Nigga, do you hang out at blitz? I've wanted to visit for some time now, though I'm a bit afraid that the people there are just as retarded as the the media portrays them…

read Marx.

Norwegian here, never lived in Oslo, but what I've heard from a dude that used to hang out there, is that now most people there, the young ones at least, are petite bourgous youth from vestkanten who are "being rebellious". They have some good concerts once in a while tho.

Sounds like the upper secondary school I went to. The "radicals" there got me into socialism and their hatred for the working class and general spoiled bratty attitudes got me out of it. They all went from radical leftism in youth to socdem latte liberals in adulthood. Whereas I, an actual working class kid, went from socdem/conservative to radical left. God I hate those kinds of leftists. Still, guess I'll have to visit blitzhuset if I ever visit the shit city that is Oslo again.

Funny how the same shit happens everywhere. I'm in South America and can relate to all of this

Naa mate living in Brønnøysund but visited Blitz a few times. In the day time its basically just a chilled coffee shop with a few interesting people in and upstairs they have a hangout space with leftist literature about. Go down and check it out, the people there are just friendly and a bit weird but they aren't knobs. :—)

Stop trusting political parties and start radicalizing lumpenproles
Why do you fucks keep falling for this shit

Norfag here, about to eat some whale, because that's a thing we do, and it's delicious.
Used to roll with the RØDT back in the days , before I lost a will to live and stuff like that. Good guys, definitely idpol, but less so than the other "leftist" organizations. Still class focused and the best guys you'll find. Only other real option is "tjen folket", a fringe revolutionary group with a boner for stalin and mao, would not recommend.
Plenty of QT liberated women in RØDT, but also some fat lesbos with little sense of humor.
Just don't publicly say anything to critical of feminism and you'll be okey.

not gonna listen to the entire speech, but the part user linked to is him talking about welfare-profiteers, that is private firms making big bucks from running kindergardens and refugee centers. Basically he wants to make it illegal to make profit from or transfer ownership of private firms operating in the welfare sector. An attempt to kick out the profiters while keeping the non-profit organizations. Then he makes a brief statement about the the EU-special economic zone, agreement needing to be renegotiated or, if that fail, we need to make a break with the EU.
Good guy, makes a lot of effort. I like him.

I'm just kidding

Thanks for the info about the course, The Blitz looks cool.

While we have norfags here, what about nkp? Too many old nostalgiacs and tinfoilhat stoners?

They are very good and have lots of connections with the American Left/Bernie Sanders/Jacobin. They had Bhaskar speak at a Red Youth summer camp last year.

Politically almost irrelevant. They do elections, but never get more than 0,0%, about 600 votes country wide.
They also do a semi weekly news-paper, so that's pretty cool, but the print is limited, like 3000, and I don't think anybody actually reads it.
do you know them? I don't really know any of them personally, but that's not the first time I've heard that description.
