Only media in general that has made me cry was Kamen Rider Den-O.

How much of a weeb are you? If so persona 2, 3, 4
If not i have no idea

Certain people can't empathize with fictional media because their brains are wired to be detached and think conceptually, so they always acknowledge the falseness of the situation and so their empathic response isn't triggered. Be glad that you don't, because it's a sign you're not easily influenced like the majority of people who are at one with their emotions.

It will only make you cry if it has meaning to you. If it's a sad scene involving a dad, I don't think it will have the same emotional impact to you as it would to someone who really cares for his father and lost him recently.

Ghost Trick can get pretty emotional by the end, between revelations and the presentation of such.

I cried when i've seen smash 5 trailer.
I also kind of felt emotional about the ending of Fragile Dreams game.
And No More Heroes 2 after completing both games in a row after another.

You must be the biggest goy on this board, holy shit.

not really a weeb, unless its bebop

I literally shed tears user. I couldn't stop them. I couldn't even understand why i was crying. When i've seen smash logo in eye of that squid girl i was already tearing up and burst into greatest joy tearing i've had ever when camera panned towards giant smash logo. Then i felt how those tears slowly crawl down my cheeks and neck. I even had some stuck on my glasses.

Could just be that weregoy Mark.

user are you failing for bait to create a bait of your own?

I wasn't baiting. But fuck you anyway.

Barring you can't into waifu sims, this might do the trick.

You should probably fuckin kill yourself before you somehow manage to breed.

Why should it make you cry shits not real?

To The Moon is barely a game but it's pure emotional manipulation. Even knowing that it stills gets you.

Here's a challenge.
Write a story based around Dante and try to make it a tear jerker somehow.
The dude is anti-tears.

Young Dante meets his new step-dad, Tameen.

TV shows and movies are okay at making people cry.
They have that audio-visual element to it, compared to music and books.
Games also have the audio-visual element, and has the chance to have a very relateable story good enough to make people cry… but I'm sure the gameplay mechanics will be a hinder.
Press F to cri

Damn OP really? I mean, you shouldn't be a complete emotional wreck all the time don't get me wrong but surely you cried at least once more since then. Not even puberty?

If you don't cry on videogames and tv shows that means you are a healthy person.

It is normal to be emotionally moved by media, and is a sign of empathy. To have a temperament where you cry at every little thing, or are never moved at all, are outliers but not necessarily unhealthy.

I got a little misty eyed when Kingdom Hearts 3 was announced.

Shattered actually.

I rarely ever cry, but an easy way to make me cry is by making a character's expression of raw emotions feel real. Even if it's just a random scene with no context, if the upset character feels genuine, then it gets through to me. Games are obviously held back graphically from recreating the real nuance of such a thing, but letting my imagination fill in the blanks, like with a drawn image, can actually work a lot better.

I challenge you to play this game, nigger.
If you don't shed a manly tear at a certain moment in it you're ultra gay.

Things only make you cry when they remind you of your own life. We're all self centered assholes who want to believe we connect with other people but the truth is we only do insomuch as they benefit our lives or ego. That guy who got shot in that movie? You didnt lose it until you remembered how much he reminds you of your dad, or brother, didnt you? That girl who lost everything, only chokes you up because you remember how fucked the relationship with your mom is.

tl;dr- we're all selfish monsters who only care about ourselves

On another hand you'll never be able to enjoy a good book, movie or game to its fullest.

Oh

I'm not reading that, user. I still feel it.

I don't think that's entirely true. I got misty eyed in the scene in the Fresh Prince when Will Smith's dad leaves again and he has his monologue. My dad was around for my whole life and we get along fine.

I normally cry out of self pity and being in this shitty world/life more than anything else

Klonoa 2 gets me to tear up every time. I feel like, when the game ends, I relive the death of my childhood.

First time I played bastion, end of the last level had me tearing up. Won't work if you've been spoiled though, on really anything in the game.

The end of Wario Land II always makes me cry

Crisis Core gets made fun of because of how many people cry at the ending, but that really just stands testament to how well it can make people cry.

What, you never played FF7 before or something?

Did you never beat DMC 3 and see the end?

>But you never do.
Silent Hill is pretty sad.

I cried like a bitch at some movies and TV shows like the ending of Babylon 5, maybe had teary eyes while playing a game watching a game's cutscene, but never felt anything like that to a cartoon or anime.

Ignorance is bliss.

OG NieR broke me at Popola's No one stops
I have no idea why that line was the thing that broke me, but boy I fucking felt it.
For some reason it just had a lot of weight on me, I never felt like that.

A lot of good examples itt
Here are my favorites with minimal spoilers (because the twists are most often the most emotional scenes imo):

Worlds Ends with You (DS game): The end of the week fuck your shenanigans, Kitaniji-san

Silent Hill Shattered Memories (for the Wii): The ending especially the bad ones
Just watch a cinematic let's play of your choice if you don't have access to the console, the gameplay is easily the weaker part of the game

I think I'm an robotic autist who doesn't shed a tear over the sudden passing of a relative, but this game's true ending made me feel alone and mournful.

I cry almost every time I hear Emotional Skyscraper~Cosmic Mind.

That's ass burgers.

I honestly don't remember.

Yaah, I totes like couldn't even when I played Gone Home and Life Is Strange.

I've learned to control it and hold back to not embarass myself in public, but it is really inconvenient OP. You shouldn't want feelings.

Play Nier I guess. Maybe Red Dead Redemption. I get sad whenever I think about Deponia games, but it's not a tearjerker.

Couldn’t take it serious anymore after that kid joined

Something tells me you just have the ignorance without the bliss.

Never cried or teared up an any form od media. Sure when I finish a long book or a game, there is feeling of emptiness and longing. But I could never cry no matter the situation. Documentaries on the other hand made me tear up couple of times, because I know that actually happened to someone.

When did I say that? What are you saying?

Someone said you can't enjoy movies or books without emotional empathy to which someone replied "ignorance is bliss" implying they're happily ignorant of good books and movies.

There are none. Not yet anyway. Stick to movies if you want to cry.

Dante's birthday comes around and his friends throw him a party.
It's also Vergil's birthday.

I disagree. Good stories have characters that you can empathize with even if you have absolutely no initial familiarity with their situation.

Neptunia Rebirth 2's Conquest ending was unexpectedly traumatic given the theme

Tell me, i never really played this game, was that a good choice?

It's certainly the best western VN, and it ranks pretty high up as far as Eastern VNs go, as well. Maybe that's just 'cause it has no cuckshit.

A good vn yes, it has some flaws but it's a good story. A good choice however, well that baby was an accurate representation of myself when I watched those webms

There's really no guarantee anything will do it for you user, but take comfort that crying because your dog died confirms you're capable of empathy and not a sociopath.
