Octa lowers cooldown, we have a rune that lowers cooldowns too, passive gold gain has been increased, support items get cheaper, we have comeback gold. All cancer features we don't need in dota.

Finally, something substantive, thank you. I'm thinking it over, but I still don't see it.
Of all the relevant heroes, it's only core on Death Prophet, and viable on a few others, from big ability users like Timbersaw to one-punch wonders like Enigma. If this item has truly been a line in the sand, then why haven't more heroes built it? Because there are better options. It's not that big a deal.
Supports are more viable and their job's less miserable, is all it's meant for me in the long run. They can focus on playing the game, but they're still poor as hell unless they do a good job. I value it since it's one of the things that lifts emphasis on the carry carrying everything, which is where the meta was before the passive gains came in. And it's worth noting, support items like wards have become more expensive since the last patch.
But this doesn't make the game more forgiving: if anything it makes it less so. Yeah, coming back from behind if you lost your lane was bullshit difficult, but the team with the advantage could play extremely sloppy. Sloppy beyond reason; I never went a game where the enemy team had to actually respect what the defenders could do, because they could hurl bodies at the rax. That was not respecting team balance, but because of comeback gold teams now have to. The only mistake was in its introduction patch, where the rubber band was too strong but got toned down.
I see what you're getting at, but I'm not convinced it's there. The ultimate reason why I don't agree Dota has become more LoL like is because all of those elements have made it less like LoL. Will you find those mechanics in LoL? Yes. Will they be for a different purpose? Always. LoL games are decided very early on average. Dota makes you respect whatever state of the game you're in at all times.
You'd enjoy fighting games, they're more like capitalism. You gotta carry yourself, you study from more experienced and learned players, you respect another guy if they've put in huge effort even if they're a cunt.

LOL took out revive awhile ago actually because fuck variety in gameplay as they took out other shit for summoner spells such as clairvoyance and some other shit. The problem with lol is they make everything simplified as fuck and screw over what little individual worth a player has in a ASSFAGGOTS game. If anything LOL should just get rid of summoner spells permanently and give some extra damage/ HP regen/HP/Stats for junglers in compensation for smite in the form of the jungle items. Also should get items like those of dotas like tp scroll or a blink like item. I've never seen someone be so far from the truth.
I've been a support main since beta, supports have way more gold now with comeback gold and AoE teamfight gold. As long as you don't die first in a teamfight, you'll end up with higher networth than beta dota supports who got reasonably fed. Support items have gotten way cheaper: TP scrolls were 135 gold ages, you got nothing from dewarding, sentries were 200 for 2 and observers were 150 for 2. Dust was 180 for 2 and smoke was 100 for 1. Not only that, courier and flying costed more combined than courier now. Supports also have way more options for "don't die" items which will get them gold for not dying in teamfights. If you're still poor in new dota as support then you're just fucking shit at the game. This is also ignoring the fact that plenty of supports now get passive gold per minute through talents and not only that, talents make supports more relevant in the late game, but the current meta makes early game close to meaningless. Finally, you gain gold for stacking camps now, so there's yet another fucking avenue of income. Supports are now another type of carry rather than support roles and early game powerhouses.
No, if you secured an early game advantage with all that expensive shit to buy as support and little to gain by simply using your early game powerspike to rotate into lanes and get kills, you were doing your fucking job. You shouldn't be punished for securing that much space as a support with rubberband mechanics just because you take 1 bad teamfight after 25 minutes of outplaying. It's less of an issue in pro games since they're less likely to take a bad fight in the lead, but in pubs you get reprimanded sorely for it.
Overall, nusupport is easy as fuck compared to old support. You just basically have to braindead to find it remotely challenging compared to how support was. Not all the changes over the years are bad, but current dota is utter shite for support players who valued the early game advantage. The best supports now are ones that scale into late game and have good lane defense, so if you're aren't picking shit like dazzle or lich every game, you're at a disadvantage.
Bring back the fucking 4 protects 1 meta, where every phase of the game fucking mattered and it was about controlling the map and resources rather than mish mashing dicks mid lane after 25 minutes until someone loses an ancient.

People generally shit on Flash because it is a free blink dagger available at the start of the game that doesn't go on a cooldown when taking damage. No cooldown for damage lets it's user pull off some bullshit.
The same happens with Buyback.
Both tend to make the game drag on longer than it should have been.

Well, I've never played LoL so I had to look up a list but from what I can tell.
A combination of Pipe and Crimson guard, except on a gigantic cooldown far longer than those items. Meaning you won't use it every fight (as you most likely can with both of those items) but every once in a great while for more clutch saves every once in a while rather then survivability on a fight by fight basis the items give you. Maybe glimmer cape would be a better example of an item meant to save yourself or someone else in a rare situation? But even then you can use it every fight.
Arcane boots, but much higher mana, on a gigantic cool down. While Arcane's help sustain you and your allies with mana over the entire match this appears to be more about giving your team that last bit of mana they need in a teamfight in order to keep casting spells? Same affect but the cooldown changes it's situational usefulness drastically.
AoE dispel? I don't think there's an item in Dota like this, closest I can think is Guardian Greaves but that only dispels the caster and gives everyone else mana and health instead.
Skadi/Shiva's guard but instead of every attack/active it's every 3.5 minutes, wew that's dog shit.
Functions closer to Anti-Mage's blink than Blink Dagger, where it manages to be both an initiation tool and an escape on a gigantic cooldown, but Blink Dagger isn't the most amazing for escaping because it gets disabled when you take damage and if you're playing with any competent they're going to Blink onto you first anyway. If anything I'd say, Force Staff is a better escape tool for these purposes? But a Blink Dagger on a 5 minute cooldown is going to be used far differently than one with a 13 second cool down in Dota.

After reading this I have to the conclusion that LoL is fucking awful, however, with most of these skills (bar Smite) having gigantic cooldown, they get treated far differently than their item counterparts in Dota. In general, these gigantic cool down skills seem to again, serve the same purpose as Buyback, where you can potential turn a fight around you wouldn't be able to otherwise at the cost of not being able to do it anytime soon. By mere grace of giving these spells longer cooldowns you've changed how most of them are treated in a game by game basis, except for Smite and Heal in particular.

No, you can still lose all of your early game advantages by not coming out on top in one team fight in the mid game. I'm not even talking about being wiped, if you trade 2 for 3, that can be enough to undo most of your lead despite that you killed 1 more than them. If you're at all behind in the game, you're still better off buying "don't die" items to not die first in teamfights, even as carry.
With the jungle being as nerfed as is, it's not worthwhile trying to farm creeps and flash farm when you get so much more out of teamfights. Comebacks should be possible, but not because the winning team is playing anything but perfect after securing the lead. Not only that, but now that shrines need you to take highground before destroying them, it's difficult to secure roshan while in the lead since they can just TP rotate to the shrine. And don't you fucking think about trying to push highground while in the lead without roshan just to take out the top shrine, because if fuck up taking the t3, you just undone all of your fucking work securing a lead. Fuck new dota.

Valve pioneered the whole 'Loot box' thing in the west and now that they are becoming wildly unpopular and potentially legislated, Valve is shifting gears to a different form of monitization to keep it's cash cows productive. Forced story cutscenes with unlikable characters. Stealth is ruined by broken abilities (the most OP of which they give you at the start of the game). The game is so broken that the only way the devs could balance it is to make playing it the most tedious and boring way possible the encouraged way that gave you the good ending. Something that just reeks of lazy/bad design and incompetence on the devs part.
Every time I try to play it something pisses me off about it and I quit. The first time I played it I abused the blink ability so hard it felt like I was playing with cheats. Later I tried multiple times to play it without the abilities, but something always makes me want to shut it off. I always feel like I have to design the rules for myself, as to not break the game and not have a tedious crawl-fest, which is the #1 thing that ruins stealth games. It doesn't feel like breaking into a place that requires you to be sneaky, rather, you're putting the limitations on yourself to not breeze through it.
The very last time I tried to play it I just couldn't stand the art style. It looks good in shit cutscenes and on ads, but it's painful to play with. Things blend together and it gives me the same feeling I get when I play with low FOV. Thief does pretty much everything better. Even the fast-paced stealth, since you can run most of the time in Thief if you're good enough.

No that's pudge from dota 2. The guy who balanced the WC3 dota mod, icefrog, was brought on valve for dota 2 wouldn't let them change anything, so the models look as close as the WC3 models as legally possible. They didn't really start to become different from WC3 until way later. There was even a bit of drama where a valve employee anonymously complained about how the company was becoming worse and the dota 2 team was being cucked by icefrog. There was some speculation it was a Riot employee who did that to stall dota 2s start, but judging how he was spot on about the company devolving, it's probably legit.

there is more than just that, comments go through filters before they are actually posted, certain words are banned and if you use them your post get's hidden and has to be checked by a mod before it's visible for others. New accounts are also hit by spam filters a lot, preventing people from making alt accs.

You forgot to mention that killing people gives you a bad ending, then only gives you sleeping darts (which are rare) and a choke hold for non-lethal options. The game punishes you for using more than half your arsenal, and even punishes you for making use of the environmental options (cutting down speakers, using walls of light, using whale oil, etc.)
Just because it's a video game doesn't mean it deserves discussion. Rocket League and Revolution 60 are both games, but you'd have a better time finding snow in hell than trying to start a decent discussion about them here.

Although, I suppose I should go more into detail. Not just general statements. Bringing up all that shit just reminds me of how Thief did it better. You could use everything, even the weapons. The sword for cutting down banners to find secrets, using mines to blow up machines or zombies/creatures depending on what game.
I mean fuck. Even stealth in Dark Messiah, the previous game made by the studio behind Dishonored, you could use everything, such as environmental kills, and even make a hybrid stealth character if you wanted.
