Technically Openspades is a client, not a server. There's the vanilla client and server, an open source server, (pyspades and a fork called pysnip that was made for whatever reason) and Openspades. They're all compatible with each other if they're the same version. There's pyspades for almost all versions, but Openspades only supports 0.75 and 0.76.
