I'm not a big Far Cry fan but I was excited when I heard it would be set in the super rural US. I think that's a cool setting that's underused in video games. From what gameplay I've seen, though, it doesn't even really look like it'll be worth pirating. What a disappointment.

It is a little bit hard to differentiate between the two though. I'd say with overwatch threads it was pretty obvious the people involved unironically liked the pile of shit, but in other cases the threads are just clearly making fun of the game or the people who like it.
That aside though the majority of AAA releases are shit but some are still worth discussing. The new Prey would be a good example. It wasn't a masterpiece by any stretch but it wasn't bad enough to warrant intentionally stifling discussion about it.

Land a perfect headshot with the dart gun(the quietest gun in the game) at it's maximum range(because hitscan but the dart just doesn't fucking work past a certain range) and his buddies will immediately know where you are, start shooting at you and driving their trucks in your direction.
Same thing happens if you slash someone with the machete or use any of the silenced weapons. They're all suddenly on full alert and know exactly where you are. The only time stealth works in Far Cry 2 is you do it completely non-lethally. Since this ain't Metal Gear where doing so is rewarded, makes the stealth fucking pointless and therefore trash.
Saying that Far Cry 2 has good stealth is a fucking insult and I won't stand for it.

You can do that in GR: Wildlands but not in this game.

I liked Instincts, 3, and 4. Particularly Instincts. It had a map editor. When I played on the original Xbox there was a really good map community where people were dedicated to making mazes and obstacles courses that climbed into the air. It was some really imaginative stuff and puts shit like Halo Forge to shame.

Blood Dragon was enjoyable for what it is and that's about all I remember with farcry in general.
