He did literally nothing wrong.

Bateman, Bane, Ozymandius, Stringer Bell, Gordan Gecko, Billy Zane from Titanic, Light Yagami from Death Note, Griffith (Berserk), Daniel Plainview (There Will Be Blood), Clint Eastwood (Unforgiven), Hans Landa (Inglourious Bastards), Lestat (Interview with a Vampire), Tom Cruise in Collateral. there's a lot more, i generally despise most heroes/protagonists

Truly one of the best "villains" I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I can still recall so many of her quotes from memory even now.
- Kreia on Anarchist-Communist cooperation.

And of course you guys forget the real, tragic hero of Avatar.

Literally /ourguy/

Kreia was a leftcom
"Direct action is not always the best way. It is a far greater victory to make another see through your eyes than to close theirs forever."

"If you seek to aid everyone that suffers in the galaxy, you will only weaken yourself… and weaken them. It is the internal struggles, when fought and won on their own, that yield the strongest rewards."

Hannibal Lecter.

I wanted to be sexually humiliated by her, then forced feminized into her cumslut underling

He's a retard.

If you're actually serious about Bane being /ourguy/, you couldn't be more wrong. He was using surface-level anarchist agitation to disable the Gotham police force and distract Gotham's citizens with undefined anarchy so he could blow up the whole fucking city with a hydrogen bomb.

In his own words, "Theatricality and deception are powerful agents to the uninitiated." He's not even class-conscious… He even went as far as to get himself cucked and friendzoned by Talia in the end, then went out like a bitch when Catwoman shot him. Couldn't find a more fakie revolutionary if I tried.

His memes are great, he was a terrific villain, but Bane is no fucking leftist. Don't even try to convince me otherwise.

Isn't he basically a posadist?

nooooooo

Honestly though that last act with the bomb and the love interest reveal were the most hacky parts of the film. It's not surprising people would want to dismiss those parts since they seem so shoehorned in at the end.

Anyway it's no secret that Bane is supposed to recall elements of the contemporary OWS movement and to exemplify the stereotypical fears of the unwashed masses motivated behind emancipatory self interest. The message is "no one saying these things is ever genuine, trust your capitalist rulers like batman to keep the order for you. They know what's best".

So I agree bane isnt /ourguy/ but he's certainly set up to represent a revolutionary in our mold.

bombing Gotham is anti-imperialist.

There were no good guys in Avatar.

It was fascist porkies vs reactionary Luddites.

Half of that list are just straight up fascist

kek'd

It's a shame Nolan got obsessed with his chaotic stupid cult and didn't do a rewrite adding some actual moral complexity. Fucking liberal brains.

Either that, or he was pressured by a deadline to rush TDKR to the point that it came out as the mess it was. I'm sure if he had more time, it could've actually been great, but instead, WB had to rush it so it could compete with The Avengers.

flag checks out

I'm pretty convinced it's just Nolan because of it being a few pieces of dialog fucking up Bane and it requiring just another scene with extras to fix
This then would make it look like Talia loved Bane instead, and everything Bane did wouldn't be handwaved away.

But Bane being in alliance with the League of Shadows is comic-canon. Bane actually did have a thing with Talia in the comics, but Ra's Al-Ghul was still alive then, and was only somewhat dubious of it, whereas Talia was outright disgusted by the thought of it. At least, that's how I remember it, it's been a while. Gotta respect Nolan for that kind of attention to detail.

"We don't invent our natures, Will; they're issued to us along with our lungs and pancreas and everything else. Why fight it?
I want to help you, Will, and I'd like to start by asking you this:

When you were so depressed after you shot Mr. Ganett Jacob Hobbs to death, it wasn't the act that got you down, was it?
Really, didn't you feel so bad because killing him felt so good? Think about it, but don't worry about it. Why shouldn't it feel
good? It must feel good to God - He does it all the time, and are we not made in His image?

You may have noticed in the paper yesterday, God dropped a church roof on thirty-four of His worshipers in Texas Wednesday night - just as they were groveling through a hymn.

Don't you think that felt good?"

- Hannibal Lecter

He sounds like he's a Stirnerite.

My personal favourite is Mr. Gold from Once Upon A Time.

Even worse was what he did to the Joker. Joker had so much potential as a character, but was never developed to satisfaction.

...

Yeah I'm not 16 anymore, I get to do that.

But it sucked as a compelling plotline.

Only because it was thinly written. Nolan could have easily done a better rewrite if he had the time.

Fugg the comics fam. Bane's original design was retarded as fuck.

Not nearly as retarded as when fucking Joel Schumacher butchered it.

Is Q a villain?

oh fuck off
americans and their superhero culture, I swear
worse than japs with magical girls
the only worthy thing that came out of it was Unbreakable

No, he's more like a reformed villain. He started off as a baddie in his first two episodes, but by Deja Q, he was no longer a threat and just wanted to troll Picard.

Same deal with his MLP counterpart, Discord. He started off as a semi-malevolent lord of chaos who wanted to fuck with all of Equestria, but after being turned to stone, released again and put into rehab with Fluttershy, he toned down his chaotic ways so that he… well, doesn't entirely use his magic for good, since he still irl shitposts all the time, but at least he no longer uses it for evil.

?
speak coherently next time

The brony hate is just a meme. To be fair, there are just certain otherwise innocent works that attract the creepy elements of society (e.g. Sonic, Homestuck)

Thank God it's just a meme, I thought I was gonna get fucking crucified out here. In all fairness, every fandom has a certain degree of cancerous autism, and in even more fairness, the brony fandom has gotten a lot tamer as they've slipped out of the eye of haters and unanimously remained self-contained.

Personally, seasons 2 and 4 are my favorites, season 5 was kind of a mixed bag of mostly okay episodes, and season 6 was a fucking roller coaster of either really good or really bad episodes.

...

...

There is literally no better villains than the 3 current ones in the legion of Doom.

Damien is 100% marry material, ultra funny, black humor, doesnt care about trash

Eobard is awesome because speedster, which is also good for sex ;^🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀)

Merlin is pretty smart and cool but not as good as the other too

I would date this homo Hannibal tbh, he is so interesting, imagine all the chats you can have.

He also makes killer restaurant tier food, i dont give a shit if it is made from humans if it is tasty

feelsbadman

Being a brony is a meme. Do you honestly think the first faggot to start peddling that was serious? If you watch MLP for any other reason than seeding the troll that made thousands of people into a laughing stock you are a mark and a stupid one even by mark standards. It is a great troll I just feel sorry for everyone who fell for it.

Don't feel sorry for me, fam. I unironically love this shit and it's changed my life for the better.

BROTHERHOOD
UNITY
PEACE

Nod scum, based globalist will destroy your disgusting terrorism!

GDI ftw

I would never fight a brony, their minds must be as twisted as a man on a bath salts breakdown.

so what was his end game?

I was just memeing, bro… Seriously, most bronies are the sweetest dudes you'll ever meet. We just love the show, m8.

Yeah… right.

I like fighting, I would fight a bath salts zombie for fun. It was merely a meme.

...

Yeah… the aspergs are just a minority within the community.

You imperialists speak of freedom and democracy, but your actions only serve to dominate other for your benefit. The Brotherhood will bring us to humanity's glorious future, to a tiberium dawn.

Going by westwood's intentions, altering humanity so that it could survive tibrium, and use it to go FALC.

...

it is a Holla Forumstard, they unironically trust fox news even though it is the most lying channel trying to pander to conservetard

Of course, should've figured. Only Holla Forums is stupid enough to trust Fox "News"…

I am so sorry we want to improve the world and let the smart capable people enjoy our pristine blue zones while most of you live in shitholes.

We fight so we can have a good life, you fight because you are worthless and jealous trash that cant have a good life unless daddy helps you

They did nothing wrong. Especially Danny, fuck.

that's pretty cool
how can I join the brotherhood?
venture to the Glow?

Am I the only one who really wants to try Los Pollos Hermanos chicken irl? Damn Gus, why'd ya have to let Hector blast you like that??

Huge sucker for this archetype: stoic, angelic, yet utterly amoral and ruthless

nah, he raped Casca because he was jelly

Gus was so perfectly lacking in any stupidity, carelessness, and weakness that he deserved to win the world. Shockingly believable performance.

sounds like /ourguy/

it really was a terrible film. i felt ill at the end where they were all just killing each other and it was directed in such a way to frame vengeful, retaliatory violence as somehow glorious.

I think Lieutenant is a pretty interesting guy. I especially enjoy listening to his explanations on "The Unity", in fact I think of him when imagining scenarios where I explain Marxism and history through the philosophy of Marx; it's a shame that his views are uncannily similar to genuine Fascism

youtube.com/watch?v=Y97_Wz4fAtA

[In Lieutenant's voice]:
"Socialism is the next advancement in societal evolution. To save the world, we will emancipate all the worthy individuals. Simple, efficient, glorious."

So he's Nazbol then?

Probably Most definitely

Kreia was some sort of Egoist, I'd say. The only thing she respects is the individual's will to express themselves, hating the constraints and spooks of both the Jedi and the Sith and indeed the Force itself for limiting the degree to which the individual can be true to their own will.

According to the game that shall not be named, he just wanted to go home. Going home however required pretty much consuming half of earths resources and advancing humanity's technology 100 years or so. He did fulfill his promise of ascension in the end though, he took most of his followers (the ones who survived anyway) to wherever the fuck his home is when he left.

Akari was asking for it.

I hate how much Namori watered down her bitchiness in later issues. She went from being a supremely selfish cunt with rapist tendencies to being a compassionate and caring friend.

I must admit I'm a filthy secondary who hasn't yet read much of the manga.
That said, I agree that evil Chinatsu is a much more fun character. Also seeing Akari getting sexually bullied makes me feel all warm and tingly inside.

Breen ACTUALLY did nothing wrong

PEACE THROUGH POWER, BROTHER!

You have to give Westwood props for really having it's finger at the wrist of the spirit of the age. Tiberium is a perfect metaphor for capitalism. NOD is a good universal stand-in for the kind of border-less terrorism and non state actors like corporations we are facing today.

I actualy favour racial equality

...

Don't you guys love when commies are the villains?

But commies are never the villains.

I would let Scar fug me

I unironically cheered for him

...

Post the plot.

It's nothing I haven't brought up on /tg/.

>it's a pokemon game so they'll probably be able to pull off full luxury automated communism in the woods with two Magnetons and a Charmander

This is all highly subject to change at any moment, but I'm getting a vague Posadist feel from all this.

Didn't think about this doozy at the time

Look at this face. If you were his opponent or perhaps even his rival, you most likely think that this is is a mere expression of feral rage in the heat of battle. After all, you may have tried to know this enemy well, but there is much, much more to this face. It isn't simply a mere expression of rage; no, there is so much more that belies it. What you see here is the accumulation of decades of pure emotion; emotion that could never be fully expressed, lest he disgrace himself to his father, brothers, and sons, and yet this disgrace is minimal in contrast to the immense disgrace and alienation he and his sons have already endured.

This is the face of a man whose legion excelled in the art of precise, pragmatic siege warfare. Every fortress and citadel was a puzzle waiting to be cracked with tactics that were mathematical, logical, and deadly; yet he also had no qualms using time and patience to simply wait until a planet was conquered by choking its cities' supply lines, one by one. It was not the fastest warfare the Imperium's foes had the misfortune to experience, but it was persistent, and time and again it provided results.

Yet it can be said that the success and expertise of the IVth Legion brought even more tragedy upon itself, for the virtue of patience brought further estrangement between Perturabo and his "brethren", who believed glory and honor could be found in irrational, self-destructive suicide by charging headfirst towards the Imperium's foes. Their virtues were not, perhaps could not, even be acknowledged and appreciated by the Emperor of Mankind himself. "What is wrong?" Perturabo asks, never given an answer for the invisible sins of his legion. In his first attempt to gain the respect of his father and brethren, he ordered that his legion be exceptionally conditioned in discipline, beginning the tradition of Decimation in the IV legion, but alas, even still he gains no respect but further alienation instead! Worse yet: in spite of not achieving the Astartes' standards of "glory", it was the IVth Legion that the Emperor commanded time and again to absorb more human worlds into the Imperium, whose commands became so numerous that the legion was spread thinly across the Imperium's frontiers, accomplishing more and more victories with so little support. It was they who dug the trenches, cracked the fortresses, and ultimately brought the Imperium to unparalleled heights, perhaps even more so than those lapdogs Horus, Sanguinius, and Guilliman! The IVth Legion was the workhorse of the Imperium: one of many of the aloof, calculating Emperor's secrets.

And yet none of this was the glory Perturabo wanted. In fact, in spite of his profession as a destroyer, Perturabo wished to achieve glory through creation. He passionately designed fortresses and architecture during what little leisure time he had, always wishing for bring beauty and splendor to the Imperium's constructs. Even this, the one passion that Perturabo held even before meeting the Emperor and leading the IVth Legion, was robbed by his brother, Rogal Dorn, who would also become the master architect for the Emperor's palace. This is the face a man whose homeworld rebelled and betrayed the legion during their darkest hour of utter isolation not only from their supposed "brethren" in other legions, but even themselves, isolated to as little as a squad tasked with defending an entire planet.

So gaze upon this face and see all of these emotions. Aye, gaze upon the legion who turned to cackling, uncaring gods with their treacherous battle-brothers who consider them as simple trench-diggers. Gaze upon the legion who returned to their homeworld to purge its treasonous rebels and enslave its survivors in a fit of rage, only to fully comprehend their sins when it was over. Gaze upon the legion who had become victims of vicious cycle of disgrace, alienation, and despair, turning them into monsters who can only channel this anguish into pure malice.

Iron within. Iron without.

wow

I really like Warhammer 40k, fam
