The only way you get more health is by implants which have a max boost which incentivize you to find better versions. Damage can only be increased by upgrading weapons with components from later areas or by weapon proficiency, and the latter only barely boosts it. So the wiki is bare bones and most people you see playing just use the spear with just the ground slam because they're fucking retarded and they can't get anyone to spoon feed them information and lore. TL;DR, When you get good in The Surge, you fucking know it.

Which in itself is pretty boring if the combat can't reflect that. The game looks like parryathon where you dip back for an attack and then make simple attacks forward. You can fluff it up all you like but everything posted in those webms look straightforward and boring.

Im usually using OBS unless theres too much grafix in that case I use shadowplay which has a miniscule impact on FPS but terrible encoding
for editing I use vegass and shotcut depending on complexity, and shotcut for the webbuming itself
shotcut has fast encoding but crashy editing so I wouldnt recommend that too much

Shadowplay takes a framedump and processes it through the video card's hardware encoder (NVEC).
OBS does the exact same thing, assuming you're not a retard.
Hardware encoding is done by a specialized segment of the die that has access to the framebuffer.

I use OBS and this ffmpeg script: pypi.python.org/pypi/webm I use it on Linux but you can get it for (((Windows))) too. (you get python pip and then run "pip install webm") It saves you some time even if you're already used to using ffmpeg by doing doublepass for you, and it lets you add manual ffmpeg options too. If I want to crop, I just use ffmpeg's crop filter and get the pixel coordinates for it in gimp. This one was recorded on a Windows passthrough VM and edited on Linux with kdenlive, then reencoded with the script. All you really need to figure out is what bitrates to use to not waste space and piss people off. 600K tends to work out well for a horizontal resolution of 640 and if you know you're going to use the max filesize the script has an option to automatically fit whatever size you specify.

Movie Battle 2 is legally free, and a lot of people started playing it after the failure that was Battle Front 2.

I think they gave the lightsaber a bit too much of a boost of damage now, but then again it is a lightsaber. Didn't know JA+ did so much. The custom maps though. People are still making them, and they have no right being as good as they are. So defiantly look into them. Movie Battles 2 is nothing but big ass custom maps, that work, most of the time anyway.

Yeah, we ended up a little pressed for time as far as maps went. I even downloaded antartical but didn't end up trying it. The biggest problem is getting server downloads to work. The vanilla server caps them at an unsable 30kbs, and there's mods that claim to fix it but neither me or the other hostfag could get them to work. It could be that we were using OpenJK though, I still haven't tried again with vanilla.

I think JA+ and Movie Battles 2 had something in the network options to "boost up the packets to 100 packets" to whatever their rate of sending is. You can run the 64 bit version of open Jedi Academy on a linux machine. Although I don't know if that would actually do anything though. My understanding was that OpenJK was far more stable on "modern" computers.
