I don't count NG+ for that metric. So it would still be a plain 10h game.
If a game is too brief, it would have to be extremely replayable to make up for it. And I can't think of many examples that would make a good case for themselves.

The only possible saving grace for this developer is an old Iconoclasts development blogpost saying The Iconoclasts would be his first and last story-heavy game, because he found out with the experience that writing and implementing a story is what takes the longest in making a video game. All enemies have patterns that you need to exploit. Your basic skeleton moves every other turn towards you, with a blatant cue for when they do. Bats move a random direction every other turn. Just be observant and eventually you'll cotton onto the way they work but it gets messy when you have multiple enemies, and especially some of the later mini-bosses.

For a game with all the indie game trappings of bad devs, pixelshit graphics, and "roguelike" gameplay it actually manages to be a good game and it's probably my favourite take on rhythm games even as a fan of the regular variety.

Something about the controls is off, the feel is off with the wrench and groundstomp attacks and I don't understand why on earth the dev made the normal laser so you don't even have to aim, just shoot in the general direction.
