The N64 one is not a bootleg. It's something custom made by someone to play Perfect Dark. The game allowed you to use one controller in each hand to have twin joysticks. You can see it's still two controllers because there's two cords.

Not sure about him specifically, but just because someone's known in doujin/internet communities as a lewd artist, it doesn't keep them from finding general work as a regular artist/character designer as well, at least in Japan. Like Range Murata having achieved some renown even with western anime fans for visual designs on Last Exile, or Urushihara's designs for Langrisser and Growlanser. Though, it might be worth noting that even then, some do choose to distance their general design and doujin/lewd art pen names.
